Abstract

The invention relates to a method for deep pyrometallurgical benefication of iron-ore quartzite. A method includes classification of quartzites onto magnetite easy ores and oxidized hard ores and their benefication. The ground oxidized quartzites are subject to pre-benefication by gravitational or magnetic methods, and the resulting rough concentrate is subject to differentiated process of direct reduction of iron oxides. The resulting product is milled, classified and enriched on magnetic separators with different values ​​of magnetic induction. The resulting metalized concentrate is subject to pelletizing by the method of briquetting. The method solves next problems: comprehensive and rational use of iron quartzites; produce high-quality competitive pelletized iron metalized concentrates from hard low-grade ores and oxidized iron quartzites.
