Abstract

The invention relates to a strand guide segment (1) for supporting and guiding a metallic strand having a slab cross-section in a strand guide of a continuous casting machine, having a top frame (3) and a bottom frame (4), wherein the top frame (3) is removably connected to the bottom frame (4); wherein a plurality of strand guide rolls (5, 6, 7) are each connected to the top frame (3) and the bottom frame (4); and wherein at least two individually movable strand guide rolls (6) arranged directly successively to each other can be individually engaged against the strand in the casting direction (2). The aim of the invention is to create such a strand guide segment wherein it is possible when the segment is in an installed state to change at least one individually movable strand guide roll (6) of the strand guide segment. Said aim is achieved by a strand guide segment, in which a roll carrier (8), at least one adjustment apparatus (9) for moving the roll carrier (8) in an engagement direction (10) crosswise to the casting direction (2) and exactly one axle (11) arranged crosswise to the casting direction (2) are allocated to each individually movable strand guide roll (6), wherein the axle (11) is removably connected to the top or bottom frame (3, 4), which is connected to the individually movable strand guide roll (6), wherein the adjustment apparatus (9) is hinged on the one side on the axle (11) and on the other side on the roll carrier (8) and the individually movable strand guide roll (6) is rotatably supported on the roll carrier (8).
