Abstract

Method for quantitative determination of yttrium in scandium oxide includes preparation of sample being analyzed, its interaction with organic reagent, registration of optical characteristic of yttrium with following calculation by method of additions. As organic reagent one uses solution of 5.7-dichlor-8-oxychinoline, and complex compound of yttrium is sorbed on foam-polyurethane. The invention relates to analytical chemistry, analysis of high-purity scandium oxide as to content of micro-admixtures of yttrium.
