Abstract

The invention relates to electric engineering and can be used for conversion of solar energy to electric energy on the base of photo-effect. A method for upgrading efficiency of a semiconductor solar/electric energy converter comprising three elements in the form of flat semiconductor plates P, I and N type (correspondingly P, I, N layer) as a working element capable of photo-effect, I-type plate is used (or I layer), which is inverted to face side of converter, P and N type plates are installed on back side of I-type plate with a gap one relatively to another, I-type plate is used as a face panel of the convertor, P and N type plates are connected to the back panel of I-type plate by installation of current collectors on back panels thereof. The proposed structural solution provides direct penetration of solar energy to a working layer of the converter, thereby increasing efficiency of solar /electric energy photoelectric conversion.
