Abstract
A method for treatment of ptosis, complicated with blepharophimosis and epicanthus, consists in the cut of superior eyelid skin along the palpebral fold, isolation of superior eyelid levator, its dosed shortening and fixing by sutures to the cartilage at a costal margin. The cut along the line of superior eyelid palpebral fold is extended on the area of the eye interior angle as horizontal "U". A musculocutaneous flap containing skin and muscle in the area of eye internal angle and superior eyelid is separated. The dosed musculocutaneous cut is extended from the cut apex in the area of internal angle in horizontal direction toward a nose. The internal copula of eyelid is separated, and its shortening is performed by formation of duplicature by the instrumentality of suture. The hyperplastic part of superior eyelid cartilaginous plate is resected. The resected levator is additionally fixed by the suture to the upper edge of the cartilage residual part. The sutures are placed on the edges of musculocutaneous cut, starting from the internal angle with next displacement of tissues toward a nose.
