Abstract
A method for functioning of the activation device and radio beacon in search and rescue of the miners trapped in the rock fall relates to the mine safety and may be used for location of the miners trapped in the rock fall. The novelty in the method consists in supplying the miners with radio beacons built into the battery section of the lamps. The rescue group is equipped with the activation device inducing the alternate low-frequency magnetic field with frequency altered within specified short interval with the specified code of emission such as emission – pause – emission. This coded alternate magnetic field is detected by the coil with ferromagnetic core of the radio beacon. Upon the first recorded signal excess relative to the specified threshold level, the timer of radio beacon is activated for recording the emission – pause – emission intervals triggering a signal to the input of decoder where the signal of the output of threshold element is also delivered. When the emission code coincides with the received code, the alternate low-frequency magnetic field with other frequency is actuated for the search for beacon. The probability of false actuation is very low since the probability of the pulse noise with the same time, amplitude and frequency as the coding signal of activation device tends to zero. Inefficient energy consumption of the battery due to the false actuation of radio beacon is negligible.
