Abstract

The invention relates to a shaft assembly (100) for footwear (98) comprising a shaft base (34) having a water vapor permeable assembly sole (36) and having a shaft base functional layer laminate (38) and a shaft region (23) having a top material layer (24) and having a feed layer (26). The shaft end region on the sole side is connected to the shaft base (34) and there is at least one suction element (102) which extends from a region between the top material layer (24) and the feed layer (26) of the shaft region (23) in a region underneath the shaft base functional layer laminate (38) in order to remove moisture from the region between the top material layer (24) and the feed layer (26) of the shaft region (23) in the region underneath the shaft base functional layer laminate (38).
