Abstract

A method for the production of standard samples for adjustment of structurescopes in the process of surface grinding consists in cutting blanks with preset superficial dimension, measurement of normalized parameters of blank material by direct process with assigning of given value of parameter to standard sample. The blanks are made with area exceeding preset working dimensions of the samples, surface impregnation of samples is performed according to standard technology of inspected article manufacturing, working surface of samples is processed by even grinding in a single pass of grinding tool in different modes, excessive part of ground blanks is cut off. Distribution of structural changes in the cross-section of cutoff part is analyzed by direct process, according to which parameters of structurally changed surface layers are determined with assigning of given value of structurally changed surface layer parameter to corresponding sample. Dependence of parameters of burnt layer on grinding mode is plotted for tested material type, this is used for the determination of grinding modes depending on preset parameters of burnt layer of cuts.
