Abstract
An invention relates to the processes for the production of nitric acid. The process comprises successive stages of ammonia oxidation, absorption of nitric oxides by water with a removal of the obtained in such a way nitric acid to the consumer, heating of residual gases, selective cleaning, recovery of the obtained heat in a gas turbine. To the residual gas after the selective cleaning stage the natural gas is introduced and a preliminary heating to temperature higher than 450 °C is provided, after that a burning of the natural gas in the obtained mixture is carried out on a catalyzer with the use of heat in the gas turbine.
