Abstract

A method of preventing outburst of coal seam during penetration of preparatory formation working in it includes the preliminary drilling on the formation of advanced wells with bottom surface in direction of the working, with control of their efficiency and further destruction of the development machine of rocks at the working face. The first pre-drilled well is drilled in the center of the reservoir by the axis of the working with depth greater than the depth of high rock pressure in the well bottom zone of the array, and there is determined the vector of deformation of the borehole walls. Thereafter, in a plane perpendicular to the vector of deformation of the borehole walls, in parallel to the first well, next to it, first to the wall of the working, then the second rest of the wells are drilled to depth equal to the depth of the first well. The diameter of the holes is not more than 50 mm, and the gaps between the wells are determined depending on the diameter of the well, the depth of the formation and physical and chemical properties of strength of coal in it and rocks that contain it.
