部分住宅設有雙層的門板,而部分設置在外側的門框會使用鋁擠型的方式製作,但鋁擠型門框向外的一面常有一凹槽,或是牆壁厚度與鋁擠型門框不合時也有可能會讓使用者看到凹槽,較不美觀,門板在開關時的噪音也較大;且門框為了節省成本常為制式設計,若要更換為更美觀的設計需花費大量金錢成本。Some residences have double-layered door panels, and some door frames on the outside are made using aluminum extrusion.
