Abstract

A dual-storage cosmetic box includes a first lid, a second lid, and a partition. The first lid defines a first storage space on its inner side, and the second lid defines a second storage space on its inner side. The second lid is hinged to the first lid to enable opening and closing relative to the first lid. The partition is disposed between the first and second lids and can hinge to the first and/or second lids. The partition is used to separate the first and second storage spaces and can selectively open or close the first or second storage space. In this way, the double-lid space is used to achieve double storage, which not only increases storage capacity and space utilization, but also reduces the risk of cross-contamination between different spaces by dividing the space with the partition, helping to maintain the cleanliness and quality of items.

Description

Double storage makeup box

This project is about a cosmetics storage device, specifically a double-compartment cosmetic box.

Conventional cosmetic cases typically feature a bi-fold or bi-fold design, consisting of a first lid and a second lid pivotally connected to the first lid. A common structure involves placing a makeup mirror inside the first lid, while the desired cosmetics are stored in a storage space defined by the second lid. This configuration raises several issues:

First, the storage space is poorly utilized. Since the space inside the first cover is already occupied by the makeup mirror, it is not available for storing cosmetics, resulting in a limited overall storage capacity that users often find inadequate.

Furthermore, the risk of cross-contamination increases. Even with compartments to separate various cosmetics (especially powdered and non-powdered) stored in the same space, cross-contamination can easily occur due to shaking during transportation or handling during use, such as powder scattering, color transfer, and cream sticking, affecting the cleanliness and effectiveness of the cosmetics.

In view of this, the creator of this case actively invested in research and development, and finally completed this creation - a double storage makeup box.

The purpose of this invention is to provide a double storage cosmetic box to solve the problems mentioned above in the previous technology.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a double-storage cosmetic box is provided, comprising a first cover and a second cover, wherein the inner side of the first cover defines a first storage space; the inner side of the second cover defines a second storage space, and the second cover is hinged to the first cover to open and close the second storage space and the first storage space.

The double storage cosmetic box further includes a partition disposed between the first cover and the second cover. The partition is pivotally connected to the first cover and/or the second cover, and the partition can selectively open and close the second storage space and/or the first storage space.

In the double-storage cosmetic box, the partition defines a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface. The first side surface forms a first convex portion at the center, and the second side surface forms a second concave portion corresponding to the first convex portion at the center.

In the double-storage cosmetic box, the partition defines a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface. The first side surface forms a first concave portion at the center, and the second side surface forms a second convex portion at the center corresponding to the first concave portion.

In the double-storage cosmetic box, the partition defines a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface, and the first side surface and/or the second side surface form a first concave portion and/or a second concave portion in the central portion.

The double-storage cosmetic box further includes a combined structure comprising a first pivot, a second pivot, a third pivot, and a hinge, wherein the first pivot is formed on the first cover; the second pivot is formed on the partition; the third pivot is formed on the second cover; and the hinge pivots the first pivot, the second pivot, and the third pivot, so that the first cover, the partition, and the second cover can pivot relative to each other.

In the double storage cosmetic box, the first hinge includes a first hinge ear, the second hinge includes two second hinge ears spaced apart and accommodating the first hinge ear, the third hinge includes a third hinge groove and accommodating the first hinge ear and the two second hinge ears, and the hinge includes a hinge shaft, which pivots the first hinge ear of the first hinge, the two second hinge ears of the second hinge, and the third hinge groove of the third hinge.

The double-storage cosmetic box further includes a closing structure, which includes a first closing portion and a second closing portion, wherein the first closing portion is formed on the first cover; the second closing portion is formed on the second cover, and the first closing portion and the second closing portion are engaged with each other when the first cover and the second cover are closed.

In the double-storage cosmetic box, the first closing portion includes a first protrusion, and the second closing portion includes a second protrusion. The first protrusion and the second protrusion are engaged with each other.

The double-storage cosmetic box further includes an opening assist structure, which includes a first assist portion and a second assist portion, wherein the first assist portion is formed on the partition and includes a notch; the second assist portion is formed on the second cover and includes a notch. The notch of the first assist portion and the notch of the second assist portion are correspondingly arranged to define a gap when the first cover and the second cover are closed.

This creation provides a double-storage cosmetic box that utilizes double lids for dual storage. This not only increases storage capacity and space utilization, but also reduces the risk of cross-contamination between different spaces by separating them with partitions, helping to maintain the cleanliness and quality of items.

The above description merely illustrates the problem this invention aims to solve, the technical means used to solve it, and the resulting effects. The specific details of this invention will be detailed in the implementation methods and related diagrams below.

To help you gain a deeper understanding of this work, we have provided a detailed description of the preferred embodiment with accompanying diagrams as follows:

1 to 9 , the present invention provides a double-storage cosmetic box, which includes a first cover 1 , a second cover 2 , and a partition 3 .

Referring to Figures 1 to 5 and 7 , the first cover 1 is generally circular in shape. A first storage space 11 is defined in the center of the inner side of the first cover 1. For example, the space 11 can be defined by a first bottom surface 111 and a first sidewall 112 surrounding the first bottom surface 111. The edge of the first cover 1 surrounds the first storage space 11. The first storage space 11 can be a circular groove. This combination of the first bottom surface 111 and the first sidewall 112 is merely a preferred embodiment, but is not intended to be limiting.

Referring to Figures 1 to 5 and 7 , the second lid 2 also has a generally circular shell shape. A second storage space 21 is defined in the center of the inner side of the second lid 2. For example, this space can be defined by a second bottom surface 211 and a second sidewall 212 surrounding the second bottom surface 211, with the edge of the second lid 2 surrounding the second storage space 21. The second storage space 21 can be a circular groove. The second lid 2 is pivotally connected to the first lid 1 to open and close the second storage space 21 and the first storage space 11. This double-storage cosmetic case provides dual storage via the first storage space 11 and the second storage space 21, allowing users to achieve more flexible space utilization. The combination of the second bottom surface 211 and the second side wall 212, and the combination of the first storage space 11 and the second storage space 21 are merely preferred embodiments, but are not limited thereto.

The first storage space 11 is configured to accommodate items (e.g., various cosmetics). For example, it can accommodate, but is not limited to: powdered cosmetics, such as loose powder (e.g., eye shadow powder, blush powder, and face powder) or pressed powder (e.g., eye shadow cake, blush cake, and face powder); cream/cream cosmetics, such as creams (e.g., foundation cream, eye cream, and skin cream), sunscreen, concealer, and lotion; hot-pour products (e.g., lipstick and lip gloss); and liquid or semi-liquid cosmetics (e.g., serums and gels).

To further separate items within the first storage space 11, one or more first dividers (e.g., one, two, three, four, or more) may be optionally positioned within the first storage space 11. These first dividers effectively subdivide the first storage space 11 into multiple storage areas, facilitating the classification of different items. The first dividers can be designed to be removable and/or interchangeable as needed. For example, a first divider can be removed from the first storage space 11, or two or more first dividers can be interchanged. This allows users to achieve greater flexibility in space utilization.

Similarly, the second storage space 21 is also configured to accommodate the aforementioned items (the types and quantities of which may be the same as or different from those of the first storage space 11), and one or more second partitions may be optionally provided inside the second storage space 21, the number and design of which (including detachable/interchangeable) may be the same as or different from those of the first partitions.

Referring to Figure 7 , the partition 3 is positioned between the first lid 1 and the second lid 2. The partition 3 pivotally connects the first lid 1 and/or the second lid 2, allowing the "first lid 1 and the second lid 2," the "first lid 1 and the partition 3," and the "second lid 2 and the partition 3" to be opened or closed. When the first lid 1 and the second lid 2 are open, the partition 3 opens or closes the first storage space 11 or the second storage space 21. When the first lid 1 and the second lid 2 are closed, the partition 3 separates the first storage space 11 from the second storage space 21, thereby forming an effective barrier and reducing the risk of cross-contamination. Even if the cosmetics are shaken during transportation or put away during use, cross-contamination such as powder scattering, color transfer, or cream sticking is unlikely to occur, ensuring the cleanliness of the cosmetics and maintaining their effectiveness.

Referring to Figures 1 to 5 and 7 , the partition 3 is generally circular and transparent. Partition 3 can be made of a material such as polycarbonate (PC). The transparency of the material allows the user to view items within the first storage space 11 or the second storage space 21 without removing the partition 3, even if the first storage space 11 or the second storage space 21 is obscured by the partition 3. This allows the user to quickly locate items, enhancing ease of use.

The partition 3 of this invention can have a specific shape to accommodate objects of different shapes and improve space utilization efficiency. The partition 3 defines a first side 31 and a second side 32 opposite to the first side 31.

In one embodiment, referring to Figure 5 , a first convex portion 311 is formed in the center of the first side surface 31, and a second concave portion 321 is formed in the center of the second side surface 32, corresponding to the first convex portion 311. In other words, the shapes of the central portions of the first and second side surfaces 31 and 32 correspond to each other. When the partition 3 is placed on the first cover 1 or the second cover 2, it is suitable for accommodating items (such as cosmetics) that protrude from the second cover 2 or the first cover 1, or it can be used to directly accommodate items. This combination of the first convex portion 311 and the second concave portion 321 is merely a preferred embodiment, but is not limited thereto.

In another embodiment, referring to FIG8 , the first side surface 31 and the second side surface 32 are both substantially flat surfaces. When the partition 3 is covered on the first cover 1 or the second cover 2 , the first storage space 11 or the second storage space 21 is opened or closed.

In another embodiment, referring to Figure 9 , a first concave portion 312 is formed in the center of the first side surface 31, and a second convex portion 322 is also formed in the center of the second side surface 32, corresponding to the first concave portion 312. In other words, the shapes of the central portions of the first and second side surfaces 31, 32 correspond to each other. The technical effects are similar to those of the other embodiment. This combination of the first concave portion 312 and the second convex portion 322 is merely a preferred embodiment, but is not intended to be limiting.

In another embodiment (not shown), the partition 3 has a certain structural thickness, and the first convex portion 311 and the second convex portion 322 can be omitted. Instead, the first concave portion 312 and/or the second concave portion 321 can be formed only in the central portion of the first side 31 and/or the second side 32 of the partition 3. This embodiment is also suitable for accommodating items with a protruding volume within the first cover 1 or the second cover 2, and is also suitable for directly accommodating items. This combination of the first concave portion 312 and/or the second concave portion 321 is merely a preferred embodiment, but is not limited thereto.

This innovative dual-storage cosmetic box further includes an assembly structure 4 (see Figures 1 to 5 and 7 ), which comprises a first pivot 41, a second pivot 42, a third pivot 43, and a hinge 44. The hinge 44 is pivotally mounted on the first, second, and third pivots 41, 42, and 43, ensuring flexible pivoting of each hinge.

The first hinge 41 is formed on the edge of the first cover 1 and includes a single first hinge 411 .

The second pivot portion 42 is formed on the edge of the partition 3 and includes two second hinge ears 421 spaced apart from each other. The second pivot portion 42 accommodates the first pivot portion 41 so that the single first hinge ear 411 of the first pivot portion 41 is located between the two second hinge ears 421 of the second pivot portion 42.

The third pivot portion 43 is formed on the edge of the second cover 2. The third pivot portion 43 includes a single third pivot groove 431, which accommodates the first pivot portion 41 and the second pivot portion 42. The single first pivot ear 411 of the first pivot portion 41 and the two second pivot ears 421 of the second pivot portion 42 are located between the two side groove walls of the third pivot portion 43.

When the combination of the first cover 1 and the second cover 2 is taken as a preferred embodiment, the hinge 44 includes a single hinge 441, and the hinge 44 cooperates with the first cover 1 and the second cover 2. This single hinge 441 is pivoted on the single first hinge ear 411 of the first hinge part 41 and the single third hinge groove 431 of the third hinge part 43, so that the first cover 1 and the second cover 2 are displaced relative to each other, and the first storage space 11 and the second storage space 21 are opened or closed by pivoting.

When the combination of the first cover 1, the second cover 2 and the partition 3 is taken as a preferred embodiment, the single pivot 441 of the hinge 44 cooperates with the first cover 1, the second cover 2 and the partition 3. This single pivot 441 is pivoted on the single first hinge ear 411 of the first hinge part 41, the two second hinge ears 421 of the second hinge part 42 and the single third hinge groove 431 of the third hinge part 43, so that the first cover 1, the second cover 2 and the partition 3 are displaced relative to each other. When the first cover 1 and the second cover 2 are in the open state, the partition 3 pivots to cover the first cover 1 or the second cover 2 to open or close the first storage space 11 or the second storage space 21.

The creative double storage cosmetic box further includes a closing structure 5 (please refer to Figures 1 to 5 and 7), and the closing structure 5 has a first closing portion 51 and a second closing portion 52.

The first closing portion 51 can be an arc-shaped or sheet-shaped rib formed at the edge of the first cover 1 and spaced apart from the first pivot 41 (preferably spaced apart in an opposing state) and not overlapped. The first closing portion 51 further forms a first protrusion 511 on the inner wall.

The second closing portion 52 can be an arc-shaped or groove-shaped concave rib formed on the edge of the second lid 2. It is spaced apart from the third pivot 43 (preferably in an opposing position) and does not overlap. The second closing portion 52 further includes a second protrusion 521 formed on the outer wall, corresponding to the first protrusion 511. When the first and second lids 1 and 2 are closed, the first and second protrusions 511 and 521 engage, ensuring the double storage cosmetic case is securely closed and preventing accidental opening or the dropping of items. This combination of the first and second protrusions 511 and 521 is merely a preferred embodiment, but is not intended to be limiting.

The creative double-storage cosmetic box further includes an opening auxiliary structure 6 (please refer to Figures 2, 3 and 6). The opening auxiliary structure 6 has a first auxiliary portion 61 and a second auxiliary portion 62.

The first auxiliary portion 61 includes a notch 611 formed at the edge of the partition 3 .

The second auxiliary portion 62 includes a notch 621 formed at an edge of the second cover 2 and recessed toward the second sidewall 212 of the second receiving space 21 , and is disposed corresponding to the first auxiliary portion 61 .

When the partition 3 is attached to the first cover 1 or the second cover 2, the first auxiliary portion 61 partially covers the second auxiliary portion 62, defining a gap 63 between the notched edge 611 and the notched groove 621 (as shown in Figure 6). This gap 63 is just wide enough for a finger to apply force to the partition 3 to open or close the first storage space 11 or the second storage space 21. This improves operational convenience and user experience. This combination of notched edge 611 and notched groove 621 is merely a preferred embodiment, but is not intended to be limiting.

In summary, this "Dual Storage Cosmetic Box" effectively solves the problems revealed by previous technologies through its structural design, and produces the following significant technical effects:

1. Improved Storage Efficiency and Space Utilization Flexibility: This design achieves a "double storage" configuration by defining usable storage spaces (first storage space 11 and second storage space 21) within both the first lid 1 and the second lid 2. This design directly overcomes the shortcomings of previous technologies, such as insufficient overall storage capacity and low space utilization, providing users with greater total storage capacity and more flexible and categorized space configuration options.

2. Reduce cross-contamination risk and maintain item cleanliness: This design incorporates a partition 3 between the first lid 1 and the second lid 2. When the dual-storage cosmetics box is closed, this partition 3 forms a barrier between the first storage space 11 and the second storage space 21. When the dual-storage cosmetics box is opened, this partition 3 can also selectively open or close the first storage space 11 or the second storage space 21. This significantly reduces the possibility of cross-contamination between items stored in the two different storage spaces, helping to maintain the cleanliness, quality, and effectiveness of cosmetics.

Claims (10)

A double-storage cosmetic box includes: a first cover, the inner side of which defines a first storage space; and a second cover, the inner side of which defines a second storage space. The second cover is hinged to the first cover to open and close the second storage space and the first storage space. The double storage cosmetic box as described in claim 1 further includes a partition, which is arranged between the first cover and the second cover, and the partition is pivotally connected to the first cover and/or the second cover, and the partition can selectively open and close the second storage space and/or the first storage space. A double-storage cosmetic box as described in claim 2, wherein the partition defines a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, the first side forms a first convex portion at the center, and the second side forms a second concave portion corresponding to the first convex portion at the center. As described in claim 2, the double-storage cosmetic box, wherein the partition defines a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, the first side forms a first concave portion at the center, and the second side forms a second convex portion corresponding to the first concave portion at the center. As described in claim 2, the double-storage cosmetic box, wherein the partition defines a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, and the first side and/or the second side form a first concave portion and/or a second concave portion in the central portion. The double storage cosmetic box as described in claim 2 further includes a combination structure, which includes: a first pivot formed on the first cover; a second pivot formed on the partition; a third pivot formed on the second cover; and a hinge that pivots the first pivot, the second pivot, and the third pivot so that the first cover, the partition, and the second cover can pivot relative to each other. A double storage cosmetic box as described in claim 6, wherein the first hinge includes a first hinge ear, the second hinge includes two second hinge ears spaced apart and accommodating the first hinge ear, the third hinge includes a third hinge groove and accommodating the first hinge ear and the two second hinge ears, and the hinge includes a hinge shaft, the hinge shaft pivots the first hinge ear of the first hinge, the two second hinge ears of the second hinge, and the third hinge groove of the third hinge. The double-storage cosmetic box as described in claim 1 further includes a closing structure, which includes: a first closing portion formed on the first cover; and a second closing portion formed on the second cover, the first closing portion and the second closing portion being engaged with each other when the first cover and the second cover are closed. As described in claim 8, the double-storage cosmetic box, wherein the first closing portion includes a first protrusion, the second closing portion includes a second protrusion, and the first protrusion and the second protrusion are engaged with each other. The double storage cosmetic box as described in claim 2 further includes an opening assist structure, which includes: a first assist portion formed on the partition and including a notch; and a second assist portion formed on the second cover and including a notch, the notch of the first assist portion and the notch of the second assist portion being arranged correspondingly to define a gap when the first cover and the second cover are closed.
