A Thick Wall Hollow Fiber Tangential Flow Filter (TWHFTFF) for perfusion and harvest of mammalian cell culture or cultures. The TWHFTFF includes at least one thick wall hollow fiber reaching from an inlet to an outlet. The thick wall hollow fiber including thick walls having tortuous paths between an interior surface and an exterior surface of the thick wall hollow fiber.
