Abstract
A flyback power supply having the function of power factor correction (PFC) includes an electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter circuit, a bridge rectifier circuit, a filter capacitor, a flyback transformer, an output rectifier circuit, an output filter circuit, a feedback circuit, a control chip and a power switch, and further includes a PFC circuit disposed between the bridge rectifier circuit and the filter capacitor. The PFC circuit including an inductor and three diodes can raise the power factor ranging from 75% to 90% and reduce design and manufacturing cost because it uses fewer electric components and simple circuit structure.
