Abstract

An adapter comprises a first connector engageable with a first type of electrical connector, a second connector electrically coupled to the first connector and mateable to a second type of electrical connector, and an outer casing disposed on an outside of the first connector and the second connector. The adapter further includes a metal housing disposed in the housing and mechanically coupling the first connector to the second connector. The adapter of the invention mechanically connects the two connectors together through the metal casing that has good shielding performance to transmit high-speed signals.
