Abstract

A live teaching system includes a network module, a website module, a video playback module, an examination module and a course database. The website module provides an online learning platform on the network for connecting with a teaching end device and at least one learning end device. The course database includes pre-recorded videos and a checkpoint profile. When the video playback module plays the pre-recorded video until the time recorded in the checkpoint profile, the examination module displays attention check questions on the learning end device.

In the current online teaching, the pace of students and teachers is often inconsistent. In view of this, an embodiment of the present invention proposes a live teaching system, including a network module, a website providing module, a video playing module, an attention checking module and a course database.

The network module is connected to a network. The website provides modules coupled with network modules to provide an online learning platform on the Internet. The online learning platform provides a teaching terminal device and at least one learning terminal device connected to the network module through network communication, wherein the online learning platform has a course page of a course.

The course database stores a pre-recorded video and a checkpoint configuration file of the course. Wherein the checking time point configuration file records one or more checking time points of the pre-recorded video and one or more attention checking test questions corresponding to each checking time point.

The attention checking module is coupled with the website providing module and the video playing module. The network module 10 is connected to the network 3 . In some embodiments, the network 3 can be the Internet, a local area network or a combination thereof. The website providing module 21 provides an online learning platform 2 on the network 3 . Here, the online learning platform 2 can be used for a teaching terminal device 4 and multiple learning terminal devices 5 to communicate with the network module 10 via the network 3 for online teaching of a course. In some embodiments, the online learning platform 2 can be implemented as a website. The teacher (or tutor) can enter the URL of the online teaching website on the browser of the teaching terminal device 4 to connect to the online teaching website, so that the teaching terminal device 4 communicates with the server device 1 . In some embodiments, after connecting to the online learning platform 2 , the instructor can operate the teaching terminal device 4 to log in to the online learning platform 2 by means of authentication such as inputting an account number and password. Referring again to Figure 4, the control option C6-"roll call" is the roll call function option. The course synchronization module 28 can obtain the current page status information of each learning terminal device 5 (such as preface, knowledge point 1, etc. as shown in FIG. 5 ), and present it in the student central control block B2. When the learning terminal device 5 jumps away from the course page 602b displayed by the browser (for example, switching to another application program), it notifies the teaching terminal device 4 . The student central control block B2 also includes other control options, such as the mute control option B22, the mute control option B23, the hand-raising control option B24, and the shake-wake control option B25.

As shown in FIG. 11 , the attention checking module 27 also provides an end answering option M41-"end answering early" in the control window M4 in the answering question. Tutors may end their responses early depending on circumstances, for example, all students complete their responses before the end of the response time. The attention check module 27 receives the trigger signal in response to the end answer option M41, and the attention check module 27 synchronously closes the time-limited answer window M3 of each learning terminal device 5 and the answer control window M4 of the teaching terminal device 4 ,

Referring again to FIG. 8 and FIG. 9 , the video playback module 22 can provide a timeline B51 in the course live broadcast block B5 to display the video playback progress. As shown in FIG. 8 , the time axis B51 of the course page 602 a of the teaching terminal device 4 may also present one or more time markers B52 , which are set on the time axis B51 corresponding to each checking time point. In response to the trigger signal of the time marker B52, the attention check module 27 displays the corresponding attention check test questions on the course page 602a, so that the instructor can browse the test question content when needed.

As shown in FIG. 8 , the video playing module 22 also provides a plurality of control options B53 - B55 in the course live block B5 of the course page 602 a of the teaching terminal device 4 . The control option B53 can be used to control the pause or play of the pre-recorded movie 261 . In response to the trigger signal of the control option B53, the video playback module 22 pauses or plays the pre-recorded video 261 on the teaching terminal device 4 and each learning terminal device 5 synchronously. In this way, the instructor can actively control the playback of the pre-recorded video 261 .
