Please refer to FIG. 2, which illustrates a flexible display panel 140 according to an embodiment. The flexible display panel 140 includes a flexible transparent substrate SB and a plurality of active light emitting elements LE. The material of the flexible transparent substrate SB is, for example, transparent polyimide (PI). The active light-emitting elements LE are distributed on the flexible transparent substrate SB. The active light-emitting element LE is, for example, a red OLED, a green OLED or a blue OLED. The number of red OLEDs is the same as the number of blue OLEDs. The number of green OLEDs is twice the number of red OLEDs. The flexible display panel 140 has first light transmission areas PA1 and PB1 , second light transmission areas PA2 and PB2 and third light transmission areas PA3 and PB3 . The first light transmission area PA1, the second light transmission area PA2 and the third light transmission area PA3 are located at a side edge of the flexible display panel 140; the first light transmission area PB1, the second light transmission area PB2 and the third light transmission area PB3 on the other side edge of the flexible display panel 140 .

P0。The density of the active light-emitting elements LE disposed in the first light-transmitting regions PA1, PB1, the second light-transmitting regions PA2, PB2, and the third light-transmitting regions PA3, PB3 is lower than that where the active light-emitting elements LE are disposed in the non-light-transmitting region P0 density. Therefore, ambient light can smoothly penetrate the first light transmission areas PA1, PB1, the second light transmission areas PA2, PB2, and the third light transmission areas PA3, PB3, but it is difficult to penetrate the non-light transmission area P0.

PA3。In another embodiment, the flexible display panel 140 may only have the first light transmission area PA1 , the second light transmission area PA2 and the third light transmission area PA3 .

The first light sensing units SA1 and SB1 sense the first light sensing measurements LA1 and LB1 (marked in FIG. 4 ) according to the corresponding relationship between the first light sensing units SA1 and SB1 and the first light transmission areas PA1 and PB1 . The first light-sensing unit SA1 and the first light-sensing unit SB1 are disposed at corresponding positions on both sides of the third carrier mechanism 130 , and the first light-transmitting area PA1 and the first light-transmitting area PB1 are disposed between the flexible display panel 140 . The corresponding positions of the edges on both sides. Therefore, the first light-sensing measurement LA1 and the first light-sensing measurement LB1 will generally be the same.

The second light sensing units SA2 and SB2 are disposed on the third supporting mechanism 130 . The second light sensing units SA2, SB2 sense the second light sensing measurements LA2, LB2 (marked in FIG. 4) according to the corresponding relationship between the second light sensing units SA2, SB2 and the second light transmission areas PA2, PB2. The second light-sensing unit SA2 and the second light-sensing unit SB2 are disposed at the corresponding positions of the two side edges of the third carrier 130 , and the second light-transmitting area PA2 and the second light-transmitting area PB2 are disposed between the flexible display panel 140 . The corresponding positions of the edges on both sides. Therefore, the second light sensing measurement LA2 and the second light sensing measurement LB2 will generally be the same.

The third light sensing units SA3 and SB3 are disposed on the first supporting mechanism 110 . The third light sensing units SA3 and SB3 sense the third light sensing measurements LA3 and LB3 (marked in FIG. 4 ) according to the corresponding relationship between the third light sensing units SA3 and SB3 and the third light transmission areas PA3 and PB3 . The third light-sensing unit SA3 and the third light-sensing unit SB3 are disposed at corresponding positions on both sides of the first carrier mechanism 110 , and the third light-transmitting area PA3 and the third light-transmitting area PB3 are disposed between the flexible display panel 140 . The corresponding positions of the edges on both sides. Therefore, the third light sensing measurement LA3 and the third light sensing measurement LB3 will generally be the same.

In order to receive the ambient light smoothly, the sizes of the first light-transmitting areas PA1 and PB1 are larger than those of the first light-sensing units SA1 and SB1 , and the sizes of the second light-transmitting areas PA2 and PB2 are larger than those of the second light-sensing units SA2 and SB2 The size of the third light-transmitting regions PA3 and PB3 is larger than that of the third light sensing units SA3 and SB3 .

The distances between the first light-transmitting areas PA1, PB1 and the second light-transmitting areas PA2, PB2 are substantially equal to the distances between the first light sensing units SA1, SB2 and the second light sensing units SA2, SB2. The distances between the second light-transmitting areas PA2, PB2 and the third light-transmitting areas PA3, PB3 are smaller than the distances between the second light sensing units SA2, SB2 and the third light sensing units SA3, SB3.

The third light sensing units SA3, SB3 do not correspond to the third light transmission areas PA3, PB3, so the third light sensing measurements LA3, LB3 are located at the low level "L".

As shown in FIG. 3D, in the screen sharing mode, both the flexible display panel 140 and the third bearing mechanism 130 slide upward, the flexible display panel 140 slides to the top, and the first light sensing units SA1, SB1 correspond to the first transparent The light areas PA1, PB1, so the first light sensing measurement LA1, LB1 are located at the high level "Ha". The second light-sensing units SA2 and SB2 correspond to the second light-transmitting regions PA2 and PB2 , so the second light-sensing measurements LA2 and LB2 are located at the high level "Hb". However, due to the different orientations of the first photo-sensing units SA1, SB1 and the second photo-sensing units SA2, SB2, the first photo-sensing measurements LA1, LB1 are located at different levels of high levels "Ha", "Hb". The third light sensing units SA3, SB3 do not correspond to the third light transmission areas PA3, PB3, so the third light sensing measurements LA3, LB3 are located at the low level "L".

The third light sensing units SA3, SB3 do not correspond to the third light transmission areas PA3, PB3, so the third light sensing measurements LA3, LB3 are located at the low level "L".

As shown in FIG. 3A , in the reading mode, neither the flexible display panel 140 nor the third bearing mechanism 130 slides upward, and the first light sensing units SA1 and SB1 do not correspond to the first light transmission areas PA1 and PB1 . A light sensing measurement LA1, LB1 is located at the low level "L". The third light sensing unit SA3 corresponds to the third light transmission area PA3, so the third light sensing measurement LA3 is located at a high level "Hc". The third light-sensing unit SB3 corresponds to the third light-transmitting area PB3, so the third light-sensing measurement LB3 is located at a high level "Hd". Since the distances between the third light sensing measurement LA3 and the third light sensing unit SB3 from the desktop are different, the third light sensing measurement LA3 and LB3 are located at different levels of high levels "Hc" and "Hd".

In the above example, the relative positions of the first transparent areas PA1, PB1, the second transparent areas PA2, PB2 and the third transparent areas PA3, PB3 remain unchanged, the first light sensing units SA1, SB1 and the second The relative positions of the photo-sensing units SA2 and SB2 remain unchanged, but the relative positions of the second photo-sensing units SA2 and SB2 and the third photo-sensing units SA3 and SB3 follow the sliding movement of the third carrying mechanism 130 or the flexible display panel 140 . and change.

In this embodiment, the first light sensing unit SA1, the first light sensing unit SB1, the second light sensing unit SA2, the second light sensing unit SB2, the third light sensing unit SA3 and the third light sensing unit The combination of the first light sensing measurement LA1, the first light sensing measurement LB1, the second light sensing measurement LA2, the second light sensing measurement LB2, the third light sensing measurement LA3, and the third light sensing measurement LB3 obtained by the measuring unit SB3 can be It is used to analyze the folded state of the foldable electronic device 100 and perform corresponding display control accordingly. The operation of the above elements is described in detail with a flow chart below.

Please refer to FIG. 5 , which is a flowchart illustrating a control method of the foldable electronic device 100 according to an embodiment. In step S110 , the driving unit 160 drives the second supporting mechanism 120 to rotate relative to the first supporting mechanism 110 , drives the third supporting mechanism 130 to slide relative to the second supporting mechanism 120 or drives the flexible display panel 140 to slide according to the predetermined folding state. Not all of these actions will be executed, depending on the current folded state and the reserved folded state to determine the action to be executed. In one embodiment, the driving comparison table TB2 pre-records the actions to be performed for the transition between various folding states. The driving unit 160 may drive according to the driving comparison table TB2.

150。Next, in step S120, the first light sensing unit SA1, SB1, the second light sensing unit SA2, SB2, the third light sensing unit SA3, SB3 according to the first light sensing unit SA1, SB1, the second light The corresponding relationship between the sensing units SA2, SB2, the third light sensing units SA3, SB3 and the first light transmission areas PA1, PB1, the second light transmission areas PA2, PB2, the third light transmission areas PA3, PB3, the sensing A light-sensing measurement LA1, LB1, a second light-sensing measurement LA2, LB2, and a third light-sensing measurement LA3, LB3. The first light-sensing measurements LA1 , LB1 , the second light-sensing measurements LA2 , LB2 , and the third light-sensing measurements LA3 , LB3 are input to the processing unit 150 after being converted by the analog-to-digital unit 170 .

Then, in step S130, the processing unit 150 determines the folding state of the foldable electronic device 100 according to the combination of the first light sensing measurements LA1, LB1, the second light sensing measurements LA2, LB2, and the third light sensing measurements LA3, LB3. In this step, the processing unit 150 determines the folded state of the foldable electronic device 100 according to the state comparison table TB3. The state comparison table TB3 is, for example, the first table above.

In addition, the processing unit 150 determines the high level or the low level according to a threshold value. In one embodiment, the basic light sensing unit SA0 can be disposed on the top of the foldable electronic device so that it can receive ambient light at any time. The basic light sensing unit SA0 can obtain a basic light sensing measurement LA0. The processing unit 150 may query the threshold value comparison table according to the basic light sensing measurement LA0 to adjust the threshold value. For example, when the foldable electronic device 100 is in a darker environment, the threshold value can be lowered to avoid failure to correctly determine the high level. When the foldable electronic device 100 is in a brighter environment, the threshold value can be increased to avoid failure to correctly determine the low level.

S150。Next, in step S140, the processing unit 150 determines whether the foldable electronic device 100 has completed the predetermined folded state. If the predetermined folding state has not been completed, go back to step S110 to continue driving; if the predetermined folding state has been completed, then proceed to step S150.

In step S150, the display control unit 180 controls the display content of the flexible display panel 140 according to the folded state.

According to the above-mentioned embodiment, the foldable electronic device 100 can transmit through the first light sensing unit SA1 , the first light sensing unit SB1 , the second light sensing unit SA2 , the second light sensing unit SB2 , and the third light sensing unit The first photosensitive measurement LA1, the first photosensitive measurement LB1, the second photosensitive measurement LA2, the second photosensitive measurement LB2, the third photosensitive measurement LA3, the third photosensitive measurement obtained by SA3 and the third photosensitive unit SB3 The combination of the sense measurements LB3 is used to analyze the folded state of the foldable electronic device 100 and perform corresponding display control accordingly.
