Please refer to FIG. 2 , which shows a flexible display panel 140 according to an embodiment. The flexible display panel 140 includes a flexible transparent substrate SB and several active light emitting elements LE. The material of the flexible transparent substrate SB is, for example, transparent polyimide (PI). The active light emitting elements LE are distributed on the flexible transparent substrate SB. The active light-emitting element LE is, for example, a red OLED, a green OLED or a blue OLED. The number of red OLEDs is the same as the number of blue OLEDs. The number of green OLEDs is twice the number of red OLEDs. The flexible display panel 140 has a first light transmission area PA1, PB1, a second light transmission area PA2, PB2 and a third light transmission area PA3, PB3. Therefore, the first light sensing value LA1 and the first light sensing value LB1 are usually the same.

The second light sensing units SA2 and SB2 are disposed on the third carrying mechanism 130 . The second light-sensing units SA2 and SB2 sense the second light-sensing measurements LA2 and LB2 (marked in FIG. 4 ) according to the corresponding relationship between the second light-sensing units SA2 and SB2 and the second light-transmitting regions PA2 and PB2 . The second photo-sensing unit SA2 and the second photo-sensing unit SB2 are arranged at the corresponding positions on the two side edges of the third carrying mechanism 130 , and the second light-transmitting area PA2 and the second light-transmitting area PB2 are arranged on the flexible display panel 140 The corresponding positions of the edges on both sides. Therefore, the second light sensitivity measurement LA2 and the second light sensitivity measurement LB2 are usually the same.

The third light sensing units SA3 and SB3 are disposed on the first carrying mechanism 110 . The third light-sensing units SA3 and SB3 sense the third light-sensing measurements LA3 and LB3 (marked in FIG. 4 ) according to the corresponding relationship between the third light-sensing units SA3 and SB3 and the third light-transmitting regions PA3 and PB3 . The third photo-sensing unit SA3 and the third photo-sensing unit SB3 are arranged at corresponding positions on the two side edges of the first carrying mechanism 110 , and the third light-transmitting area PA3 and the third light-transmitting area PB3 are arranged on the flexible display panel 140 The corresponding positions of the edges on both sides. Therefore, the third light sensing value LA3 and the third light sensing value LB3 are usually the same.

In order to receive ambient light smoothly, the size of the first light-transmitting area PA1, PB1 is larger than that of the first light-sensing unit SA1, SB1, and the size of the second light-transmitting area PA2, PB2 is larger than that of the second light-sensing unit SA2, SB2 The size of the third light-transmitting area PA3, PB3 is greater than the size of the third photo-sensing unit SA3, SB3.

The distance between the first light-transmitting area PA1 , PB1 and the second light-transmitting area PA2 , PB2 is substantially equal to the distance between the first light-sensing unit SA1 , SB2 and the second light-sensing unit SA2 , SB2 . The distance between the second light-transmitting area PA2 , PB2 and the third light-transmitting area PA3 , PB3 is smaller than the distance between the second light-sensing unit SA2 , SB2 and the third light-sensing unit SA3 , SB3 .

The third light-sensing units SA3 and SB3 are not corresponding to the third light-transmitting areas PA3 and PB3 , so the third light-sensing measurements LA3 and LB3 are also at the low level “L”.

As shown in FIG. 3C, in the large-screen mode, both the flexible display panel 140 and the third carrying mechanism 130 slide upwards, the flexible display panel 140 slides to the top, and the first light sensing units SA1 and SB1 correspond to the first transparent The light zones PA1 and PB1, therefore, the first light sensing measurements LA1 and LB1 are located at the high level "H". The second light-sensing units SA2, SB2 correspond to the second light-transmitting areas PA2, PB2, so the second light-sensing measurements LA2, LB2 are at the high level "H". The third light-sensing units SA3 and SB3 do not correspond to the third light-transmitting areas PA3 and PB3 , so the third light-sensing measurements LA3 and LB3 are at the low level “L”.

As shown in Figure 3D, in the shared screen mode, both the flexible display panel 140 and the third carrying mechanism 130 slide upwards, the flexible display panel 140 slides to the top, and the first light sensing units SA1 and SB1 correspond to the first transparent The light zones PA1 and PB1, therefore, the first light sensing measurements LA1 and LB1 are located at the high level “Ha”. The second light-sensing units SA2, SB2 correspond to the second light-transmitting areas PA2, PB2, so the second light-sensing measurements LA2, LB2 are at the high level "Hb". However, due to the different orientations of the first light-sensing units SA1, SB1 and the second light-sensing units SA2, SB2, the first light-sensing measurements LA1, LB1 are located at different levels of high levels “Ha” and “Hb”. The third light-sensing units SA3 and SB3 do not correspond to the third light-transmitting areas PA3 and PB3 , so the third light-sensing measurements LA3 and LB3 are at the low level “L”.

As shown in FIG. 3E, in the intelligent assistant mode, the flexible display panel 140 and the first supporting mechanism 110 are both folded backwards, and the first light sensing units SA1 and SB1 correspond to the first light-transmitting areas PA1 and PB1, so A light sensor LA1 and LB1 are located at the high level "H". The second light-sensing units SA2 and SB2 correspond to the second light-transmitting areas PA2 and PB2 , but the ambient light is blocked by the first carrying mechanism 110 , so the second light-sensing measurements LA2 and LB2 are at the low level “L”. The third light-sensing units SA3 and SB3 do not correspond to the third light-transmitting areas PA3 and PB3 , so the third light-sensing measurements LA3 and LB3 are at the low level “L”.

As shown in FIG. 3A, in the reading mode, neither the flexible display panel 140 nor the third carrying mechanism 130 slides upwards, and the first light-sensing units SA1, SB1 do not correspond to the first light-transmitting areas PA1, PB1, so the second A light sensor LA1 and LB1 are located at the low level "L". The second light-sensing units SA2 and SB2 do not correspond to the second light-transmitting areas PA2 and PB2 , so the second light-sensing measurements LA2 and LB2 are at the low level “L”. The third light-sensing unit SA3 corresponds to the third light-transmitting area PA3, so the third light-sensing level LA3 is at the high level “Hc”. The third light-sensing unit SB3 corresponds to the third light-transmitting area PB3, so the third light-sensing measurement LB3 is at the high level “Hd”. Since the distances between the third light sensing measurement LA3 and the third light sensing unit SB3 from the desktop are different, the third light sensing measurement LA3 and LB3 are at different high levels “Hc” and “Hd”.

In the above example, the relative positions of the first light-transmitting area PA1, PB1, the second light-transmitting area PA2, PB2, and the third light-transmitting area PA3, PB3 remain unchanged, and the first photo-sensing units SA1, SB1 and the second The relative positions of the photo-sensing units SA2 and SB2 remain unchanged, but the relative positions of the second photo-sensing units SA2 and SB2 and the third photo-sensing units SA3 and SB3 follow the sliding of the third carrying mechanism 130 or the flexible display panel 140 And change.

The foldable electronic device 100 includes a first carrying mechanism 110, a second carrying mechanism 120, a third carrying mechanism 130, a flexible display panel 140, a processing unit 150, a driving unit 160, an analog-to-digital unit 170, a display control unit 180, a basic light The sensing unit SA0, the first photo-sensing unit SA1, the first photo-sensing unit SB1, the second photo-sensing unit SA2, the second photo-sensing unit SB2, the third photo-sensing unit SA3 and the third photo-sensing unit Unit SB3. The first carrying mechanism 110 , the second carrying mechanism 120 and the third carrying mechanism 130 are composed of, for example, a support plate, a slide rail, and a slider. The processing unit 150 , the analog-to-digital conversion unit 170 , and the display control unit 180 are, for example, circuits, chips, circuit boards, or firmware. The driving unit 160 is, for example, a motor or an elastic element. In this embodiment, the first photo-sensing unit SA1, the first photo-sensing unit SB1, the second photo-sensing unit SA2, the second photo-sensing unit SB2, the third photo-sensing unit SA3 and the third photo-sensing unit The combination of the first light-sensing measurement LA1, the first light-sensing measurement LB1, the second light-sensing measurement LA2, the second light-sensing measurement LB2, the third light-sensing measurement LA3, and the third light-sensing measurement LB3 obtained by the measurement unit SB3 can be It is used to analyze the folded state of the foldable electronic device 100 and perform corresponding display control accordingly. The operation of the above components will be described in detail below with a flow chart.

Please refer to FIG. 5 , which shows a flowchart of a control method of the foldable electronic device 100 according to an embodiment. In step S110 , the driving unit 160 drives the second bearing mechanism 120 to rotate relative to the first bearing mechanism 110 , drives the third bearing mechanism 130 to slide relative to the second bearing mechanism 120 or drives the flexible display panel 140 to slide according to the predetermined folding state. Not all of these actions will be performed, and the actions to be performed will be determined according to the current folding state and the reserved folding state. In one embodiment, the drive mapping table TB2 pre-records the actions required to be executed for transitions between various folding states. The driving unit 160 can be driven according to the driving comparison table TB2.

150。Next, in step S120, the first photo-sensing unit SA1, SB1, the second photo-sensing unit SA2, SB2, the third photo-sensing unit SA3, SB3 according to the first photo-sensing unit SA1, SB1, the second photo Sensing unit SA2, SB2, third light sensing unit SA3, SB3 correspond to first light transmission area PA1, PB1, second light transmission area PA2, PB2, third light transmission area PA3, PB3, sense the first A light sensing measure LA1, LB1, a second light sensing measure LA2, LB2, a third light sensing measure LA3, LB3. The first light-sensing measurements LA1 , LB1 , the second light-sensing measurements LA2 , LB2 , and the third light-sensing measurements LA3 , LB3 are converted by the analog-to-digital unit 170 and input to the processing unit 150 .

Then, in step S130 , the processing unit 150 judges the folding state of the foldable electronic device 100 according to the combination of the first light sensing measurement LA1 , LB1 , the second light sensing measurement LA2 , LB2 , and the third light sensing measurement LA3 , LB3 . In this step, the processing unit 150 judges the folding state of the foldable electronic device 100 according to the state comparison table TB3. The state comparison table TB3 is, for example, Table 1 above.

In addition, the processing unit 150 determines the high level or the low level according to a threshold value. In one embodiment, the basic light sensing unit SA0 can be disposed on the top of the foldable electronic device, so that it can receive ambient light at any time. The basic light sensing unit SA0 can obtain a basic light sensing value LA0. The processing unit 150 can query the threshold comparison table according to the basic light sensitivity measurement LA0 to adjust the threshold. For example, if the foldable electronic device 100 is in a darker environment, the threshold value can be lowered to avoid incorrect determination of the high level. When the foldable electronic device 100 is in a relatively bright environment, the threshold value can be increased to avoid incorrect determination of the low level.

S150。Next, in step S140 , the processing unit 150 determines whether the foldable electronic device 100 has completed a predetermined folding state. If the predetermined folding state has not been completed, then return to step S110 to continue driving; if the predetermined folding state has been completed, then enter step S150.

In step S150 , the display control unit 180 controls the display content of the flexible display panel 140 according to the folded state.

According to the above embodiments, the foldable electronic device 100 can pass through the first photo-sensing unit SA1, the first photo-sensing unit SB1, the second photo-sensing unit SA2, the second photo-sensing unit SB2, the third photo-sensing unit The first light sensing measurement LA1, the first light sensing measurement LB1, the second light sensing measurement LA2, the second light sensing measurement LB2, the third light sensing measurement LA3, the third light sensing measurement obtained by SA3 and the third light sensing unit SB3 The combination of sensing values LB3 is used to analyze the folded state of the foldable electronic device 100 and perform corresponding display control accordingly. In this way, more diverse application ranges can be provided to users.
