In a preferred embodiment, the composition is used in the treatment or prevention of skin conditions selected from skin aging, elastic tissue degeneration, sagging (sag), peeling (wrinkle), and combinations thereof.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a composition according to the present invention for topical application to the skin. The use can be cosmetic.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic treatment of skin, which includes applying the composition according to the present invention to the skin.

The cosmetic treatment can be used to slow or prevent the appearance of skin conditions selected from skin aging, elastic tissue degeneration, sagging (sag), peeling (wrinkles), skin infections, skin damage, skin burns, pain and muscle tightening.

In a preferred embodiment, the cosmetic treatment is used to slow down or prevent skin conditions selected from skin aging, elastic tissue degeneration, sagging (sag), peeling (wrinkle) and combinations thereof.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a facial mask incorporating the composition according to the present invention herein.

The mask may include a cream, lotion or ointment.

The mask can be applied directly to the skin as a composition to form a mask. The mask can alternatively be provided in the form of a wrapper filled or soaked in the composition, wherein the wrapper is applied to the skin.

Those skilled in the art will understand that the selective characteristics of one embodiment or the present invention can be applied to other embodiments or the present invention where appropriate.

Specific examples of the invention

Now, the embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail, but only for illustration.

Figure 1 shows photographs of a subject's arm skin before and after applying the composition of the present invention.

Example 1-Anti-aging

Referring to FIG. 1, a formulation including about 5 ml of 1 wt% queen bee venom (derived from Kenya’s organic beehive) is applied to an area of a subject’s skin that has shown signs of aging. The formula is based on shea butter as a carrier, and also contains rose and lavender essential oils and manuka honey.

The formula is applied twice a day for one week. After treatment, the skin apparently looked younger and wrinkles decreased.

The results obtained are improved compared to the formula based on the general bee venom.

Example 2-Skin burns

A formula containing approximately 5ml of Queen Bee Venom was applied to the area of a dog’s skin that was accidentally burned due to excessive sun exposure. The same formula as Example 1 was used.

The formula is applied twice a day for three days. After treatment, the burned skin was remarkably healed.

The results obtained are improved compared to the formula based on the general bee venom.
