Description

導光板
本發明涉及一種導光板,尤其涉及一種入光面具有微結構的導光板。
液晶顯示裝置具有輕、薄、耗電小等優點,廣泛應用於現代化資訊設備中。由於液晶顯示面板中的液晶本身不具發光特性,為達到顯示效果,必須給液晶顯示面板提供一面光源裝置,如背光模組,該面光源裝置之功能在於向液晶顯示面板提供輝度充分且均勻之面光源。對於LED光源,由於LED出光時具有一個有限的發散角而且出光處的能量較大,所以當導光板被LED點亮時,會在導光板的入光處看到明顯的亮暗現象,即是俗稱的Hot Spot,所以當導光板蓋上玻璃後會造成LED入光處的品質不佳。
有鑒於此,本發明提供一種導光板以使得LED光源發出的光進入導光板時能有效的均勻發散。
一種導光板,包括一入光面、一與入光面相連之出光面及一與該出光面相對之底面,該入光面設置有複數第一微結構和第二微結構,該第一微結構位於該第二微結構的外側,使得來自光源的光穿過該第一微結構后再穿過該第二微結構后方能進入該導光板內。該第二微結構為形成在入光面上的半圓柱形凸起。該第一微結 構自入光面凸出並且與入光面之間形成有間隙以容納第二微結構。
本發明的導光板的入光面具有第一微結構及第二微結構,來自光源的光穿過該第一微結構后再穿過該第二微結構后方能進入該導光板內,經過第一微結構11和第二微結構13的折射,LED光源的發散角增大,使得LED光源的能量能夠均勻散開,從而有效避免Hot Spot現象。

圖3係顯示LED光源的能量分佈和出光角的關係圖。
參閱圖1和圖2,導光板100包括入光面10、出光面20、以及與出光面20相對的底面30。在本實施方式中,該導光板100整體呈平板狀,其可由丙烯酸樹脂、聚碳酸酯或聚乙烯樹脂等材料製成。在其他實施方式中,該導光板100可根據需要設置為其他形狀,如楔形。
該入光面10設置有複數第一微結構11及複數第二微結構13,該第一微結構11位於該第二微結構13的外側,如此,光源需要穿過該第一微結構11后再穿過該第二微結構13方能進入該導光板100內。
在本實施方式中,該第一微結構11具有弧形的橫截面,其自該入光面10凸出,其自出光面20一直延伸至該底面30,其與入光面10 之間形成有間隙15。可以理解地,該第一微結構11的橫截面可以更具需要設置為其他形狀,如三角形。
在本實施方式中,該第二微結構13為自入光面10凸出的半圓柱結構,其自出光面20一直延伸至該底面30,並且位於該間隙15內。
在本實施方式中,在製造該導光板100時,首先利用超精密加工技術在坯料上切割出該複數第一微結構11,然後再切割出複數第二微結構13。可以理解地,圖1和2中僅是示意出該第一微結構11和第二微結構13的相對位置關係,熟悉本發明的技術人員會根據需要調整第一微結構11和第二微結構13的尺寸及數量。
參閱圖3,LED光源能量是呈現高斯分佈,所以0度出光角的能量會比60度出光角的能量大,經過第一微結構11和第二微結構13的折射,LED光源的發散角增大,使得LED光源的能量能夠均勻散開,從而有效避免Hot Spot現象。
綜上所述,本發明確已符合發明專利之要件,遂依法提出專利申請。惟,以上所述者僅為本發明之較佳實施方式,自不能以此限制本案之申請專利範圍。舉凡熟悉本案技藝之人士援依本發明之精神所作之等效修飾或變化,皆應涵蓋於以下申請專利範圍內。

Claims (5)

  1. 一種導光板,包括一入光面、一與入光面相連之出光面及一與該出光面相對之底面,該入光面設置有複數第一微結構和第二微結構,其改良在於:該第一微結構位於該第二微結構的外側,使得來自光源的光穿過該第一微結構后再穿過該第二微結構后方能進入該導光板內,該第二微結構為形成在入光面上的半圓柱形凸起,該第一微結構自入光面凸出並且與入光面之間形成有間隙以容納第二微結構。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之導光板,其中,該第一微結構具有弧形的橫截面。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之導光板,其中,該第二微結構具有半圓柱形橫截面。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之導光板,其中,該導光板為平板形或者楔形。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之導光板,其中,該導光板之材料為丙烯酸樹脂、聚碳酸酯或聚乙烯樹脂。
