Description
The present invention relates to a display device, and more particularly to a display device having a display panel.
The liquid crystal display controls the proportion of light penetrating the display panel by controlling the degree of rotation of the liquid crystal. Therefore, if the degree of rotation of the liquid crystal is not expected, the displayed picture is defective. For example, if the liquid crystal layer is deformed by external force, it may cause the display of the display to be free from color shift or exposure.
During the assembly process of the liquid crystal display, when the front frame and the rear frame are engaged with each other, the engaging portions of the two frames often press the frame to further press the display panel. The liquid crystal display panel must be deformed by the action of external stress to avoid disturbing the alignment of the liquid crystal molecules. If the alignment of the liquid crystal molecules is disturbed, the liquid crystal display panel may be subjected to color shift or light leakage.
In view of the above problems, the present invention provides a display device that utilizes a recess of a frame to prevent the frame of the back frame and the front frame from pressing the frame.
The invention provides a display device comprising a back frame, a frame and a front frame. The back frame has a first engaging portion. The frame is disposed in the back frame. frame The body has a groove, and the groove is disposed corresponding to the first engaging portion. The front frame is placed on the frame. The front frame has a second engaging portion. The second engaging portion is fitted to the first engaging portion.
According to the display device of the present invention, when the first engaging portion located at the recess is engaged with the second engaging portion, the frame is provided with a groove, and the back frame and the front frame adjacent to the first engaging portion are It is possible to avoid squeezing to the frame and causing warpage. The interference force between the original back frame and the frame can be effectively reduced. Thereby, the display device can prevent the frame from being pushed to the display panel, so that the display panel is less likely to be deformed, thereby improving the leakage of the display panel due to deformation.

In an embodiment of the invention, the first engaging portion 110 includes a protrusion 111, and the second engaging portion 410 includes a hole 411. The front frame 400 and the back frame 100 are fixed by fitting the second engaging portion 410 by the first engaging portion 110. That is, the first engaging portion 110 and the second engaging portion 410 are fixed by a structure such as the protrusion 111 being inserted into the hole 411. In other embodiments, the first engaging portion 110 can also include a hole 411, and the second engaging portion 410 can also include a protrusion 111. The types of the first engagement portion 110 and the second engagement portion 410 are not limited.
For further explanation, please refer to FIG. 3A, and a side exploded view of the display device 10 according to FIG. 1 is illustrated. In the embodiment, the limiting wall 220 is provided with a recess 221 at the corresponding first engaging portion 110. The recess 221 has opposite end faces 221a, 221b, and the projection position of the first engaging portion 110 to the limiting wall 220 Between the end faces 221a, 221b. Since the limiting wall 220 is provided with the recess 221, the process of fitting the back frame 100 and the front frame 400 by the protrusion 111 and the broken hole 411 is performed. In the middle, a part of the volume of the back frame 100 can be immersed in the groove 221 without interfering with the limiting wall 220. Therefore, the recess 221 can prevent the back frame 100 near the first engaging portion 110 from being pressed to the limiting wall 220 to cause the limiting wall 220 to warp. In other words, the interference force between the original back frame 100 and the frame 200 can be effectively reduced, and the situation that the limit wall 220 is pushed to the display panel 300 to cause the display panel 300 to warp occurs to improve the display panel 300. The situation of light leakage.
Since the limiting wall 220 is disposed with the recess 221 corresponding to the first engaging portion 110, when the first engaging portion 110 is engaged with the second engaging portion 410, the nearby back frame 100 is pressed against the limiting wall 220 to limit the limit. The position wall 220 causes warpage, so the projection position of the first engaging portion 110 to the limiting wall 220 is between the end faces 221a, 221b. In addition, the thermal expansion problem needs to be considered, and space needs to be reserved between the two sides of the first engaging portion 110 to the end faces 221a, 221b of the groove. In this embodiment, the end surface 221a of the first engaging portion 110 to the recess 221 is a distance D1, the first engaging portion 110 is at a distance D2 from the end surface 221b of the recess 221, and the first engaging portion 110 to the end surface Preferably, the distance D1 of the 221a needs to be greater than or equal to 5 mm, and the distance D2 of the first engaging portion 110 to the end surface 221b is preferably 5 mm or more. Please refer to FIGS. 3B and 3C, FIG. 3B is a cross-sectional view showing the assembly process of the display device 10 according to FIG. 1, and FIG. 3C is a cross-sectional view taken along line 3C-3C of FIG. The opening direction of the groove 221 faces the front frame 400 and substantially vertically extends the direction in which the panel 300 extends. The depth D3 of the groove 221 is substantially equal to the height H of the limiting wall 220. The width W of the groove 221 in the left-right direction in the drawing is substantially equal to the thickness T1 of the limiting wall 220, but is not limited thereto in other embodiments. Back During the process of fitting the frame 100 and the front frame 400 by the protrusion 111 and the hole 411, as shown in FIG. 3B, part of the volume of the back frame 100 is immersed in the groove 221 without interfering with the limiting wall 220. In this way, the limiting wall 220 can be prevented from being pressed by the back frame 100, and the situation that the limiting wall 220 is pushed to the display panel 300 to cause the display panel 300 to warp is further reduced, thereby improving the light leakage of the display panel 300.
100。Referring to Figures 4A and 4B, a cross-sectional view of a display device 10a in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention is shown. The viewing angles of Figures 4A and 4B are the same as those of Figures 3B and 3C. The display device 10a is substantially similar to the display device 10 shown in FIG. 3B. However, in the embodiment, the opening direction of the groove 221 faces the front frame 400 and substantially extends the direction in which the panel 300 extends, and the depth D4 of the groove 221 is smaller than the height H of the limiting wall 220. Therefore, there is still a portion of the limiting wall 220a located below the recess 221 to avoid displacement of the display panel 300. In the process in which the back frame 100 and the front frame 400 are engaged with the second engaging portion 410 by the first engaging portion 110, as shown in FIG. 4A, the first engaging portion 110 is bent in the direction of the groove 221. The second engaging portion 410 is bent in a direction away from the recess 221 . A portion of the volume of the back frame 100 is immersed in the recess 221 without interfering with the limiting wall 220. Thus, the position wall 220 can be prevented from being warped by the extrusion of the back frame 100, thereby further improving the light leakage of the display panel 300. Therefore, the recess 221 can prevent the back frame 100 from being laterally pressed to the limiting wall 220 when the first engaging portion 110 and the second engaging portion 410 are engaged. The front frame 400 and the back frame 100 continue to be close, and as shown in FIG. 4B, the protrusions 111 of the first engaging portion 110 can be caught in the holes 411 of the second engaging portion 410 to fix the front frame 400 and the back frame. 100.
100。Referring to FIGS. 5A and 5B, a cross-sectional view of a display device 10b according to another embodiment of the present invention is shown. The viewing angles of Figures 5A and 5B are the same as those of Figures 3B and 3C. The display device 10b is substantially similar to the display device 10 shown in FIGS. 3B and 3C. However, in the embodiment, the opening direction of the groove 221 faces the first engaging portion 110, and the depth D5 of the groove 221 is greater than or equal to the thickness T2 of the first engaging portion 110. Therefore, the positional wall 220 is further provided with a portion of the limiting wall 220a at the groove 221 to strengthen the display panel 300. In the process in which the back frame 100 and the front frame 400 are engaged with the second engaging portion 410 by the first engaging portion 110, as shown in FIG. 5A, the first engaging portion 110 is bent in the direction of the groove 221. 5B, the protrusions 111 of the first engaging portion 110 can be caught in the holes 411 of the second engaging portion 410 to fix the front frame 400 and the back frame. 100.
6A and 6B, FIG. 6A is a perspective view of a display device 10c according to another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 6B is a cross-sectional view taken along line 6B-6B of FIG. 6A. The display device 10c is substantially similar to the display device 10 shown in Fig. 1. However, in the embodiment, the first engaging portion 110 further includes an extending portion 112 adjacent to the protrusion 111. second The engaging portion 410 further includes a recess 412 adjacent to the hole 411. Further, when the projection 111 is inserted into the hole 411, the extending portion 112 can be fitted into the recess portion 412, so that the engagement between the first engaging portion 110 and the second engaging portion 410 can be more stabilized.
The following describes the effect of the display device in which the frame is not provided with the recess 221 and the display device 10, 10a, 10b, 10c of the present invention on the Critical-Noticeable Difference (JND). The JND value is obtained by discriminating the size scale of the block in which the brightness is uneven, and the JND value of the block in which the uneven brightness is not detected is not, and the degree of the block in which the brightness is uneven is detected is increased. The JND value is gradually increased. In the following experimental data, the display panel 300 is exemplified by an In-Plane-Switching (IPS) liquid crystal panel.
7%。Referring to FIG. 7, a comparison diagram of JND values of the conventional display device of the same size and the display devices 10, 10a, 10b, and 10c of the present invention is shown. The following data compares the display device of the same size of the conventional frame in which the recess 221 is not provided, and the display device 10, 10a, 10b, 10c of the present invention. Figure 7 is a graph showing the proportions of the display device in which the conventional frame is not provided with the recess 221 and the ratio of the display devices 10, 10a, 10b, and 10c of the present invention under the corresponding JND values. As shown in FIG. 7, this figure is taken by thirty conventional display devices without grooves 221 and thirty display devices 10, 10a, 10b, and 10c of the present invention, which are measured when displaying pictures. The JND values of the blocks with uneven brightness appear, and group statistical analysis is performed. Wherein the strips of the relatively hatched lines indicate the display device in which the conventional frame is not provided with the grooves 221, and the strips of the dense hatching indicate the present invention. The display devices 10, 10a, 10b, 10c, and each strip corresponding to the JND value indicates how much of the total number of display devices has the JND value measured. For example, in the case where the JND value is 1.8, the ratio of the corresponding conventional display device is about 3%, and the ratio of the corresponding display device 10, 10a, 10b, 10c of the present invention is 43%. For another example, in the case where the JND value is 2.3, the ratio of the corresponding conventional display device is about 17%, and the ratio of the corresponding display devices 10, 10a, 10b, and 10c of the present invention is 7%.
If the standard of shipment is that JND must be below 2.3, the yield of the conventional display device is about 61%. The yield of the display device 10, 10a, 10b, 10c of the present invention can reach about 97%. Comparing the display device in which the frame is not provided with the recess 221, the yield of the display device 10, 10a, 10b, 10c of the present invention is increased by 36%. From this, it can be seen that the display devices 10, 10a, 10b, and 10c of the present invention can effectively reduce the JND value and significantly improve the display effect.
In summary, the display device of the present invention surrounds the display panel with a limiting wall to limit the limiting wall to the display panel. In addition, when the first engaging portion located at the recess of the limiting wall is engaged with the second engaging portion, the limiting wall is provided with a groove adjacent to the back frame and the front frame of the first engaging portion. It can avoid the warpage caused by squeezing to the limit wall of the frame. The interference force between the original back frame and the frame can be effectively reduced. Thereby, the display device can further prevent the frame from being pushed to the display panel, so that the display panel is less likely to be deformed, thereby improving the leakage of the display panel due to deformation.
