Abstract

This invention relates to an electromagnetic interference blocking method and a shielding device, which can set up a shielded region for electronic components and circuit layout on both sides of a printed circuit board where electromagnetic wave outspread occurs. A first shielding device is mounted on a surface of the circuit board where no height limitation is imposed to cover the shielded region and the first shielding device is soldered to the surface of a top face of the circuit board. A second shield device is mounted on a surface of an opposite face corresponding to the shielded region to fully cover the shielded region, in which the shielded region has a height limitation zone that sets a height limitation region. The second shielding device has a hollow cover body and at least one extension portion, in which the cover body has side walls on periphery thereof and the extension portion extends from an external portion of the side wall of the periphery of the cover body and completely overlapping the surface of the printed circuit board within the height limitation region. The bottom of the second shielding device is soldered to the surface of the opposite face of the printed circuit board to achieve the effectiveness of electromagnetic interference shielding.
