Abstract

The present invention relates to a wheel-type android robot. The wheel-type android robot has a moving base combining a moving and a turn-driving modules enabling the moving base to move and turn. In addition, on the moving base a multi-joint upper body combining mechanism driving module is disposed, which enables the controlled actions of the upper body. The head part of the robot has a vision sensing module, wherein sensors capable of measuring the distances are installed at the front and rear parts of the base. Moreover, a controlling module is installed at the trunk of the upper body so as to provide the wheel-type android robot with the capabilities of imitating the object-searching behaviors of mankind, the object-getting actions by the coordination of eyes and hands, and the obstacle-obviating functions by the use of distance sensors.
