Abstract

Provided is a hair-growth adjusting light emitting device, which can prevent a light reliably from leaking from a light source and which can adjust such growth of body hair reliably as is caused by the light coming from the light source. The light emitting device is equipped at its head with the light source for emitting the light to promote/suppress the body hair growth, and the head is so supported on a grip by an elastic member as can freely float with respect to the grip. A skin contacting face to be brought into contact with the skin is recessed to have a contact sensor. The device is equipped with a control circuit for enabling the light source to emit the light only in case the contact sensor detects the skin.
