Description

. A7 _ L .......__ J ::; j B7---- ^ ~~ ^ ^ —— V. Description of the invention () MMSM. The present invention is related to golf Sports or games. The present invention is more related to a round golf club head in the form of "iron material", especially an iron shaft with a surrounding, concave-back geometry, which ensures the mass distribution of the round golf club head we desire. And at the same time maintain excellent batting quality. Golf club heads in the form of iron are typically made by casting or forging metal. The iron golf club head system includes ~ hitting surfaces, and its inclination will change with different club numbers in a group of golf clubs. Therefore, lower-numbered irons, such as No. 1 to No. 4 irons, are called "long irons", and their inclination from the vertical line of the hitting surface is higher than that of "short irons". The face is small, and the short irons are irons with a higher number in a group of golf clubs, such as an eighth iron, a nine iron, and a PW (pitching wedge). One of the goals of the improved iron form golf club head design is to redistribute the mass of the golf club head to its surroundings, substantially surrounding the center of the face of the golf club head. The center of the batting surface is roughly equal to the ideal batting area, or the so-called "sweet spot". The distribution of golf club head masses to its surroundings, that is, the surroundings are heavier, tends to enlarge the sweet spot. Many commercially available iron-type clubs have appeared on the market. The central recess at the back of the heavy-duty iron-type club head is suitable for providing different functional or decorative elements at the same time. The surrounding weighted parts can be roughly described as a group of wall parts located on the back side of the iron-type golf club head, and generally in a ring shape. 3 This paper size applies to the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) ^ 7 ----------- Order --------- line (please read the notes on the back before filling this page) A7 1230083 _________B7 V. Description of the invention ( ) And these wall parts form a rear recess. The lowermost wall portion of the surrounding weighting portion extends along the bottom of the back side of the golf club head, and the lowermost surface of the wall portion forms the bottom surface of the golf club head, which is hit by a golf club head The golf ball comes into contact with the ground. The uppermost portion of the surrounding weighting portion extends along the top of the back side of the golf club head, and its top surface intersects the hitting surface of the golf club head. This part of the surrounding weighting part is generally called the top rail of the iron type golf club head. The top surface of the top rail can be easily seen by a player when preparing to hit a golf ball or during a shot. The surrounding weighting portion defines two end walls at the same time. One end wall is located at the toe end on the back side of the golf club head, and the other end wall is located at the golf club. At the heel end on the back side of the head, the toe wall and the heel wall are typically on the heel and the weighted parts around the golf club head, respectively, on the heel and The sole wall and the top rail part connected at the toe corner are integrally formed. The surrounding weighting portions that define the back recess of the golf club head collectively form a generally ring-like portion, which is commonly referred to as the perimeter weighting. Ο The first has been proposed is In this golf club head, a peripheral weighted portion is formed, and in particular, its shape can be adjusted for mass distribution, for example, by increasing the mass of the lower or bottom formed wall portion and at the same time reducing the surrounding weighted iron type club head. The quality of the top rail of the concave back. For example, U.S. Patent No. 5,048,834 to Gorman describes a Golman 4 paper size that applies to the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the notes on the back before filling out this page) Order --------- line | 1230083: ..ΐ.. Description of the invention () Golf club head It has a back concave portion, wherein the lower wall portion of the surrounding weighting portion includes a portion protruding upward into the interior of the concave portion formed by the surrounding weighting portion, and the portion facing the golf club head is increased. Distribution of quality. However, the presence of this part behind the central part of the hitting surface increases the stiffness of the hitting surface part of the concave-backed golf club head, thereby reducing the effective area of the sweet spot and making such a golf club. The head iron is more difficult for athletes to consistently hit the ball correctly. Different types of iron-type golf club head designs have been previously proposed, in which the inner portion of the surrounding weighted wall portion is connected adjacent to the bottom portion of the wall portion and the bottom of the back recess portion surrounded by the wall portion. The region is recessed in these connecting regions. Examples of such golf club head designs include those disclosed in, for example, U.S. Patent Nos. 4,928,972 and 4,964,640 to Nakanishi et al. Further developments of the same type are disclosed in Schmidt et al., U.S. Patent Nos. 5,437,456, 5,472,203, and 5,749,795, respectively. These previous designs include cutout recesses that extend from the back recess into the inner surface of the top rail and other parts of the surrounding weighting. These golf club heads also include partial slits to connect, for example, the cutout recess to the outside of the head of the golf club head, and the slits extend through the entire rear thickness of the surrounding weighted portion to substantially The upper part of the upper ring shape is divided into several segments. However, the design of the surrounding weighted parts of these fragments makes the surrounding weighted ring more fragile, and may encourage golf club heads and additional handles. 5 This paper size applies to Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm), I -------- Order --------- (Please read the notes on the back before filling this page) A7 1230083 _ B7____ 5. Description of the invention The vibration of the ball. Other designs are also described in U.S. Patent Nos. 5,472,203 and 5,749,795 by Schnudt et al. These grooves, which sit in the upper surface of the top rail, can be seen by the athlete during preparation and hitting, and thus may visually disrupt the athlete at this time. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a golf club head in the form of a concave-backed iron material with an increased weight, wherein the mass distribution system reduces the center of gravity of the golf club head, thereby improving the golf ball to be easily made. These irons, especially the long irons of this design, successfully hit each other. Another object of the present invention is to increase the rigidity or rigidity of the top portion of the hitting surface of this iron type golf club head. Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a golf club head design in the form of a concave-backed iron material with a weight around it, which is structurally sufficiently stable to resist the impact on the hosel portion of the club head. During bending, a force may be applied to adjust and adjust the lie angle to a particular athlete. In particular, the object of the present invention is to provide a golf club head in the form of an iron material, which includes: a hitting plate member, the hitting plate member has a substantially The front hitting surface on the upper plane and a rear surface opposite to and approximately parallel to the front hitting surface of the rhyme; the surrounding weighting part, which is in accordance with the 6 paper standards, is applicable to the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification ( 210 X 297 mm) '---, ----------- Order ---------- (Please read the notes on the back before filling this page) A7 1230083 --- ..…--.: ..-...._,. 1 '^ J D7 — 一 _ · ΙΓ 11 一一 ^ ― ** ^ · * ^ · ^-** 面 _ * — _ I lu old! ! ^^^^^^^;-'., .π, ι〇ί, __' V. Description of the invention () will reduce the quality existing in the top rail, thus allowing Effective redistribution of mass in the golf club head to reduce the center of gravity of the golf club head. Furthermore, '鞯 is opened only through a single wall portion of the top rail. The presence of such apertures, slits, or grooves, or recesses does not make the top rail around the weighted part excessively fragile to resist Repeated strokes of the golf ball, or to resist the bending of the head bolt, contribute to the fitness of the golf club for a particular player. Obviously, these orifices, slits, or grooves should not open into the face of the golf club head. Similarly, since the top surface of the top rail of the golf club head can be easily seen by an athlete placing a golf ball or performing a shot, there are no openings, slits, or grooves that open through the top surface. This reduces the possibility of the player's vision shifting when performing a shot with a golf club with these golf club heads. In a preferred embodiment, one or more apertures, slits, or grooves are formed in the top rail and open through the rear surface of the top rail, and the rear surface is also the surrounding weighted part. Rear surface of the top rail section. The first embodiment of the present invention is generally illustrated in the first and second figures, wherein a golf club head 1 in the form of an iron material includes a golf club handle A club head 2 is attached thereto, and a hitting surface 3 on which a golf ball hit occurs. The back of the golf club head includes a recess 4, and the bottom 5 of the recess 4 is opposite and substantially parallel to the hitting surface 3. The recess 4 is formed by the inner wall portion of the surrounding weighted portion in a generally annular shape. More specifically, the surrounding heavier part 6 series includes a lower part 7 12 This paper size applies the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) -----.- ^ ------ ------ Order --------- (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) A7 1230083 _______B7__ 5. Description of the invention () 'The bottom surface of the lower part 7 constitutes golf The back of the club head. The head back typically makes contact with the ground when using this golf club head to hit a golf ball. The surrounding weighting portion 6 also includes lateral portions 9 and 10, and the inner surfaces 11 and 12 of the lateral portions 9 and 10 help to form the concave portion 4. The surrounding weighting part 6 further includes a top rail 13 which includes a top surface 14 which is typically located within the field of view of an athlete when hitting a ball, helping to define the underside of the recess 4 The surface 15 is substantially parallel to the ball striking surface 3 but the rear surface 16 forming a part of the rear surface behind the surrounding weighted portion, and the outer end surface (that is, the head surface 17 and the heel surface 18). As explained in the embodiments shown in the first to third figures, the 'slots or grooves 2 0-2 3 are open through the rear surface 16 of the top rail 13. The advantageous grooves 20-2 3 are formed to have a desired length, width, depth, and shape, which are finally limited by the size of the top rail 13. These grooves typically have a length direction that is substantially parallel to the length of the top rail, and are therefore generally horizontal in orientation. As explained in the first figure, the groove 2 x has a length 1 extending in the length direction of the top rail 13 and a height h measured substantially perpendicular to the direction. The inner wall portions 25, 2 6 of the groove 21 are facing each other and are substantially parallel, typically slightly converging slightly toward their innermost ends. As illustrated in the second figure, each groove 20 ~ 23 is extended into the inside of the top rail 13 to reach a depth p, which can constitute 10-90% of the thickness of the top rail. The width 1, height h, and depth p determine the hollow volume of the slot or groove. The size and position of each of the grooves 20-23 can be modified, for example, to achieve a proper redistribution of mass in the surrounding weighted portions. For example, for a golf club head that includes a steel golf club head with a total weight of 200 to 300 grams, forming a typical set of grooves to achieve the cost of the golf club head of the invention will remove about 0.8 to about 2 grams Metal. The grooves are separated from each other by a reinforcing portion of the top rail having the thickness between the grooves. Those skilled in the art will understand that the present invention is not limited to the form of the embodiment illustrated in the first to third figures, but also includes that the number of grooves can be changed from a single groove Other embodiments of up to ten grooves. Furthermore, the form of the orifice, slot, or groove is not limited, and may include any desired form, including the form of the orifice illustrated in the embodiment of the fourth figure, where the groove or orifice 3 is roughly cylindrical in shape, as produced by drilling or digging. The diameter of these drilled grooves and the number of these grooves depend on the amount of material to be removed from the top rail 13. Therefore, the formation of the aperture or groove in the top rail 13 will reduce the mass of the top rail, change the position of the center of gravity, typically lower the center of gravity, and change its relationship to the head bolt and the axis 19 of the shaft. The typical situation is that the paper size of this paper is reduced to 14 in accordance with China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) -----.--- ^ ------------ Order- -------- (Please read the precautions on the back before filling out this page) A7 1230083 ___ B7__ V. Description of the invention () The center of gravity of golf club heads in the form of low iron materials will make the use of these golf clubs The mobilization of the head can more quickly make the golf ball fly in a flying track in the air, and this flying track will typically be higher than the track caused by a similar golf club head with a high center of gravity. The presently preferred groove configuration of the present invention is described in the first figure, in which the central groove 6 6 has a relatively medium length, whereby the grooves 6 7 located on both sides of the central groove 6 6 And 6 9 series have a slightly longer length than the central groove 66, and the end grooves 6 8 and 70 are shorter than the grooves 6 7-6 9 respectively. In addition, in the presently preferred embodiment, the total thickness of the top rail 13 between the top surface 14 and the inner surface 15 (as described in, for example, the second and second figures) is It will gradually decrease from the plane of the bottom surface 5 of the rear recess, through a plane parallel to the surface but further away from the plane of the bottom surface 5 of the recess. Furthermore, these preferred embodiments also include a head back flange 7, which when the plane advances gradually from the back surface of the recess toward the rearmost point of the golf club head, the head back flange The thickness of 7 is reduced from the plane of the bottom 5 of the recess. Moreover, these preferred embodiments (as illustrated in, for example, Figure 2a) have recessed wall portions that are formed so that a line along the lower surface 15 of the top rail 13 is pushed back to the rear Going out will not intersect with a line lying in the same plane and along the upper surface 7 a of the head back flange portion 7 of the weighted portion. Description of the invention () The form of the characteristic aperture or groove in the top rail, The position and hollow capacity are different from each other in this group of related golf clubs. For example, as illustrated in Figures 8a, 8b, and 8c, the number of holes or grooves in a group of related golf clubs can be changed. Therefore, the head 4 series corresponding to the long iron No. 2 may include five grooves 4 1 to 4 5 in the top rail 13. At the same time, for example, the middle-numbered club system of the fifth iron in the eighth " b picture may include only three grooves 4 7-4 9. These three grooves 4 7-4 9 series may be the same as or different from the grooves 4 1-4 3 in the exemplary second iron as illustrated in the eighth figure. Description of the invention () The 9th iron system of a golf club is described as having a groove 61. The capacity of the groove 61 is the same as that of the 2nd iron and the 5th iron of the same group of related golf clubs. 5 6 And 5 8 capacity. Here, the distance d 9 between the capacity center 6 2 of the groove 6 1 and the axis 65 is greater than the corresponding distance d 5 of the fifth iron of the same group of related golf clubs. Similarly, the center of gravity of the 9th iron G 6 0 is horizontally moved more toward the heel portion of the golf club. This is the center of gravity 5 of the 5th iron and the 2nd iron that are related to the same group of golf clubs, respectively. 7 and G 5 3 are obtained in comparison. Among different golf clubs in the same group of related golf clubs, another mode of changing the position of the center of gravity is illustrated in Figures 10a, 10b, and 10 c in the figure. As shown in the tenth a figure, a set of related golf clubs of the second iron is tied to the back surface of the top rail 13 and includes five grooves 6 6-70. In the tenth b diagram, the fifth iron series of the same group of related golf clubs is shown with five smaller grooves 7 2-7 6 distributed in the top rail 13. Therefore, the total capacity of the groove in the fifth iron in Fig. 10b is smaller than the total capacity of the groove in the second iron in Fig. 10a, which will cause the center of gravity G 7 of the fifth iron in Fig. 10b. 1 is slightly higher in the vertical direction than the center of gravity G 6 5 of the tenth iron in Fig. 2a. Description of the Invention () This is the same as that in the tenth picture a and the tenth picture b. Explain that the second irons and the fifth irons' centers of gravity G 6 5 and G 71 in the same group of related golf clubs are compared. Similarly, different combinations of groove shape, number, location, and total capacity can be selected to provide the desired mass distribution to move the center of gravity of different golf club heads in a group of related golf clubs. As mentioned earlier, a particularly preferred arrangement of a group of grooves is illustrated in the eleventh figure, where the central groove 66 is of medium length and is slightly shorter in length than the central groove The grooves 6 7 and 6 9 on both sides of the groove 6 6 are shorter end grooves 6 8 and 70 respectively. It is also possible to create a golf club head in the form of an iron material with a part of a hollow top rail by creating a hole 3 3, the hole □ 3 3 is opened laterally through the head surface 1 7 And extends within and parallel to the top rail 13 as illustrated in the fifth to seventh figures. This elongated orifice will typically be produced by drilling or boring, although other manufacturing methods can be used by us. In this embodiment, the capacity of the hollow orifice or groove 33 is mainly determined by its length, and to a lesser extent by the diameter or size of the surface opening 34. For example, the length of the opening or groove 33 may include between 10% and 90% of the total length of the top rail 13 and its diameter may be up to about 3 mm. The position of the center of gravity of a particular golf club head can be changed based on the total amount of mass removed by creating the grooves of this type of perforation. 19 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) ‘^ Order --------- Φ (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page)

Description of the Invention () It will be known to me that the advantageous iron material form golf club head system of the present invention provides a practical, economical, and unique and changeable way to To achieve the purpose of the invention. As explained, for example, in the preferred embodiment of the eleventh figure, the production of the elongated grooves 6 6-70 produces two ingeniously connected by bridging materials that separate the grooves Continuous and parallel steel beams. This system allows the manufacture of a golf club head, where the top rail system can have the same or even less mass, while having an increased depth dimension in a generally vertical dimension along the golf club surface at the same time. This system enables the top rail to provide reinforcement or stiffness to the surface of the golf club, and it greatly enhances the golf club's unique feel during golf strokes. Furthermore, as discussed herein, the emergence of the advantageous grooves of the present invention provides a highly correct pattern of redistribution in the surrounding weighted portions, thereby allowing the center of gravity of the golf club head to be desirably repositioned. In addition, the unique and reinforced structure of the grooved top rail will result in a unique concave back-type golf club head with an increased weight in the form of iron, which will easily withstand not only during golf strokes, but also for The force exerted on the club head when it is bent to make the golf club head suitable for a single player. In addition, in order to avoid the advantageous orifices, slots, or grooves of the present invention from being clogged with dust or other substances that can change the desired mass distribution in a single golf club head, such as The orifices, slots, or grooves can be filled with a low-density material, such as a polyurethane foam material, to prevent the entry of dust or other foreign materials.
