Abstract

A method for coloring a contact lens comprises: coating a pigment layer on a mold to form a reverse pattern; dripping a lens material on the mold; rotating the mold at a constant speed so that the lens forms a surface with a desired curvature; solidifying the lens to form a color contact lens with an embedded pigment layer. In the invented lens, the pigment is inserted into the lens. Therefore, there is no concern of damaging the eyeball. The present invention also discloses the pigment formula suitable for the abovementioned method and the lens made according to the method.
