Q \ 61 \ 61768.PTD ---------- Page 23 Λ48634 5. When the invention is described (20), the processor 118 can quickly retrieve the current event information from the alarm database 274, and The information is provided to the user or the processor 11 8 may use indicators or other indicators of the application that occurred or recorded about the event itself to hold information about the event. As indicated by the flow line 322, step 304 continues the processing procedure. At step 304, the processor 11 8 retrieves the next alarm from the alarm database and provides the alarm to the real-time timer CPU 2 06 for storage in the alarm memory 204. in. Therefore, 'after each alarm is generated, the subsequent alarms are taken from the memory' and provided to TRCG 1 26 so as to track the alarm clock and generate an interrupt when the user should be alerted. Because an event may occur when the system power is turned off, depending on the alarm event, it can be turned on to power on the device 130. For its part ', when an alarm is generated, a power-on circuit 276 may be provided to turn on the power of the device 130. This type of circuit can be used to wake up the device 130, before the alert can be provided to the user, even if the device 130 is powered off. Description of the invention (21), and generate appropriate alarms for users. Therefore, when the device is in a power-off state, an event can occur and an alarm can be generated. As described above, 'can be operated when the actual time is different from the internal time = device 1 3 0. For example, the following situations may occur. Move the device to a different time zone. The time in this time zone is different from the time set in the previous time zone. As described above, the 'system can use the communication interface to capture the current time and update the real-time timer generator 26' in order to synchronize the device] 30 with the actual time, or the time can be updated manually. In these cases, an alarm may be missing, for example, 'because the new time has passed the alarm time. As far as the update time is concerned, a specific embodiment of the present invention checks a past alarm clock. FIG. 9 is a flow chart showing the operation of a processing program for checking an alarm clock when updating the time in a device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In particular, the processing procedure explained with reference to FIG. 9 is a processing procedure for explaining the update of the current time by receiving time information from a time source 丨 6. After reading this description, those skilled in the art-general technology will clearly understand that no matter what the reason for updating the current time can be, other processing programs can be implemented and used when updating the current time. Referring now to FIG. 8, the time information is received from the time source H6 in step 3 32. As described in steps 3 34 and 3 3 6, if the received time information is the same as the device time, the alarm program can be generated by following the processing procedure described above with reference to FIGS. 7 and 8. On the other hand, as explained in step 334, if the received new time is different from the time according to the real-time timing generator 126, the current time is updated. because

448 63 4 V. Description of the invention (22) is the updated time, so * A direct comparison of the current time with the alarm time may not be enough to generate an alarm. These may actually be later than one or more alarms generated by the device 130 because of the current time. Therefore, in steps 342 and 344, the alarm time is compared with the current time to determine whether the current time is earlier than the alarm time. As explained in steps 344 and 346, if the current time is earlier than the alarm time, it means that the event associated with the alarm has not passed, so the alarm can be generated in a normal manner. However, if the current time is equal to or later than the alarm time, an alarm is generated for the user in step 348, and then the next alarm is retrieved and compared as described in steps 3 50 and 35. While various specific embodiments of the present invention have been described above, it should be understood that these descriptions are presented by way of example only, and are not limited to these examples. Therefore, the spirit and scope of the present invention are not limited to any of the above-mentioned exemplary embodiments, but should be defined according to the following patent application scope and equivalent scope.
