Abstract

The present invention relates to a kind of heat treatment apparatus for synthetic fiber yarns for the heating during synthetic fiber yarn twisting process. The object of the invention is to provide a non-contact high temperature heater having a high temperature portion and a low temperature portion for making the shape of sheath heater into a simple shape such as a straight line and for sufficiently heating a heating element to its end. The heat treatment apparatus for synthetic fiber yarns is composed of sheath heaters 20, 21 having embedded heating wires 55, 56, and the heating element 11 contacting the sheath heater 20, 21 for heating the yarns in a non-contact way by the radiation heat from the heating element 11. Particularly, the heating wires 55, 56 embedded in the sheath heaters 20, 21 are embedded in such a configuration that it can reduce the heating at both ends ( L1, L2 intervals) of the said sheath heaters 20, 21; and, the heating distribution in the length direction, except both ends (L1, L2 intervals), is non-uniform by the combination of a high density portion and a low density portion so that the said both ends (L1, L2 interval) of sheath heaters are exposed from the said heating element 11. Therefore, the heating distribution of the sheath heaters 20, 21 is different along the longitudinal direction so that it can continuously form the high temperature portion H and low temperature portion L excluding the both ends portions (L1, L2 intervals).
