Abstract

In a liquid crystal display apparatus, a liquid crystal panel is composed of a plurality of pixels which are arranged in a matrix of J rows and K columns (J and K are integers more than 1). A gate driver circuit operates during M horizontal line time periods (M is an integer more than 1 and smaller than J) to collectively activate M rows of pixels and then to sequentially activate each of the M rows of pixels. A source driver circuit performs a neutralizing operations to the M rows of pixels when the M rows of pixels are collectively activated, and performs a writing operation of a display data to the sequentially activated one of the M rows of pixels.
