Abstract
A method for generating a three-dimensional image of a scene, comprising the following procedures: (a) providing one or more images for the said scene, with each image focused at one or more distances; (b) selecting the optimal subset of scenes with best focused images; (c) determining foci of each selected distance; (d) forming a 2D image by combining images of selected subset; (e) arranging one or more lenses in alignment with the said subset of 2D images, with foci determined from one or more lenses; and (f) forming a 3D image by projecting images through the selected lenses.
