Abstract

An one-way clutch, in which, a clutch inner is coupled into a receiving hole for the clutch inner in a body of a clutch outer; a plurality of clutch chambers are formed in an inner peripheral surface of a mounting hole for the clutch inner, each being recessed in a wedge shape; and a plurality of clutch rollers are received rotatably in the respective clutch chambers, each of the clutch rollers being biased towards a small diameter portion of the clutch chamber by a spring; which is characterized in that a receiving hole for a spring is formed at the side of a large diameter portion of each of the clutch chambers, the receiving hole being recessed in a direction tangential to the mounting hole for the clutch inner; the receiving holes receive respective springs, each spring being received in a receiving portion of a bottom of each receiving hole, so that a reaction force is received from the receiving portion; a through hole is opened on an extension of an axis of the corresponding receiving hole for the spring at a portion adjacent to a small diameter portion of each clutch chamber in the body.
