Abstract

A process for producing detergent particles comprising an anionic surfactant, which comprises feeding a paste comprising water and the an anionic surfactant to a drying zone, heating the paste in the drying zone thereby reducing the water content therein, and cooling the paste in a cooling zone, which is characterized in that a layering agent is introduced into the cooling zone in the cooling step.
