A brake device for vehicle, which comprises: a transmission system where an operation force of a first brake operation member (3F) can be transmitted to a first wheel brake (BF) through a first transmission system (4F); a transmission system where an operation force of a second brake operation member (3R) can be transmitted to a second wheel brake (BR) through a second transmission system (4R); which is characterized in comprising: a first planetary gear mechanism (61) consisting of a first annular gear ring (161) connected to an intermediate section of the first transmission system (4F), a first sun gear (171) installed into coaxial with the first annular gear ring (161) and freely rotatable, a first planetary gear (181) engaged between the first annular gear ring (161) and the first sun gear (171), and a first planetary carrier (191) fixing the first planetary gear (181) on one end of a rotatably supported rotation shaft (14); and a second planetary gear mechanism (62) consisting of a second annular gear ring (162) connected to an intermediate section of the second transmission system (4R), a second sun gear (172) installed into coaxial with the second annular gear ring (162) and freely rotatable, a second planetary gear (182) engaged between the second annular gear ring (162) and the second sun gear (172), and a second planetary carrier (192) fixing the first planetary gear (181) on the other end of the rotatably supported rotation shaft (14); sun gear braking means (7) for braking the rotation of the first sun gear; and a forward-and-backward rotatable motor (8) connected to the second sun gear.
