Abstract

An air purifier comprising: a first dust collecting section having a first ionizing electrode and a first dust collecting electrode; a second dust collection section having a second ionizing electrode, a second dust collecting electrode with a surface area larger than that of the first dust collecting electrode, an air passage forming member for forming a second air passage different from the first air passage of the first dust collecting section, and a fan generating air flow in the second air passage; and selective driving means at least selectively driving the fan.
