Abstract

An ultraviolet resistant coating capable of increasing the contrast and color purity of an information display faceplate, the information display comprising a faceplate, the surface on the inside of the faceplate being coated with a phosphor layer, the phosphor layer comprising a plurality of segregated phosphor coatings capable of emitting red, green and blue phosphor by the focusing of a trichromatic electron beam, the surface on the outside of the faceplate being coated with a coating layer comprising: an antistatic coating layer and/or anti-reflective coating layer; an organic dye to be added into the antistatic coating layer and/or anti-reflective coating layer for absorbing the phosphor of two adjacent colors; a coupling agent to be added into the antistatic coating layer and/or anti-reflective coating layer for binding the organic dye and the components in the antistatic coating layer and/or the anti-reflective layer; an ultraviolet stabilizer to be added into the antistatic coating layer and/or anti-reflective coating layer for wrapping the molecular surfaces of the organic dye added in the anti-static coating layer and/or anti-reflective coating layer to form a protective membrane for preventing the aging degradation of the organic dye due to irradiation of ultraviolet light.
