A method for measurements of a dynamic/advancing/receding contact angle, which comprises: dripping a solution on a solid flat plate to form a sessile drop on the solid flat plate; generating a side projection image of the sessile drop and the solid flat plate on a photosensor of a camera; capturing the side projection image of the sessile drop and the solid flat plate, digitizing the image, and searching the boundary between the drop and the solid plate, thereby obtaining the boundary coordinates of the sessile drop and the Z-axis coordinate Zs of the boundary of the solid flat plate; and performing optimization regression on the coordinates of a plurality of points on the boundary of the sessile drop and the theoretical curve of the sessile drop.
