Abstract
An Inverter controller for brushless DC motor includes: (a) a phase shift signal generator to generate a 3 phase switch signal based on the phase detecting signal from a Hall sensor and the command signal from the motor speed controller. (b) a motor speed controller utilizing the phase detecting signal and the sensed motor speed to compare with a predetermined voltage level so that the motor speed controller is able to generate a voltage selective signal to control the motor speed. (c) a PWM processor to generate a pulse width modulation signal based on the voltage selective signal and the 3 phase switch signal including a saw-wave generator, a comparator, a logic circuit, a plurality of 3 phase switch buffers. (d) a gate driver receiving the phase switch signal from the PWM processor to produce a gate driving signal for driving the upper pole and the lower pole switches.
