Abstract

A method for converting tea leaf residual into fodder wherein tea leaf residual having a solid content of 15 to 40% is added with a mixture of 1.0 to 5.0% of lactobacillus Tst2 (Lactobacillus plantarum) strain No. CCRC910041 and 2.0 to 5.0% of yeast St17 (Candida humicola) strain No. CCRC920008 and 1.0 to 5.0% of sugar, followed by mixing and pressurizing in sealed state under 25 to 70C for 72 hours such that a raw fodder for milk cow is obtained by fermentation, the strains being added in liquid state and the end point of the fermentation being that the bacteria count of the two strains reaches 10^9 cfu/g tea residual for lactobacillus and 10^8 cfu/g tea residual for yeast.
