Abstract

A water-absorbing capacity test method of textile by infrared thermal image firstly cuts the tested textile as a testing sample with 20 x 2.5 cm size, then puts the testing sample into water tank until the tested textile generates water-absorbing height change due to capiliarity. From the image grabbed by infrared thermal image thermometer and based on the temperature distribution gradation and water temperature of tested textile lower than temperature of clothe surface the capillary water-absorbing height of tested textile surface per each testing unit time could be got due to the thermal image color of tested textile temperature, that is input into infrared thermal image processing system to be calculated and analyzed by scale. It results in the relationship between water-absorbing height of tested textile and time, then via recursive analysis processing water-absorbing capacity data information such as water-absorbing height of test textile, recursive equation of water-absorbing speed and time are got.
