Abstract

A charging method for electromotive vehicle and charging device, that with one mode in proper time proceeds charging according to the first and the second step procedures, and auto-ends charging after the batter is completely charged, includes the following steps: (1) setting one CPU for calculating each stored data and detecting, judging battery voltage, temperature, current and time data, connected to one real-time timer for building one base time; (2) setting one monitoring unit for monitoring battery voltage, temperature, current etc. physical values, and according to monitored value feeds signal to above CPU; (3) controlling connecting point of one switch element by above CPU, and controlling power of charging device to battery by the switch element; (4) judging if charging power device gets power by CPU, and after getting power selecting instant charging or waiting for off-peak charging mode; (5) according battery voltage and temperature, detecting and judging battery current capacity; (6) setting the longest accumulated charging time to battery; simultaneously setting re-chargeable AH max. value; and one voltage preset value S; (7) building charging condition of the first and the second step charging procedure; (8) setting one time value N in above the second step charging procedure; (9) setting one accumulated charging time D in above the second step charging procedure; (10) controlling switch element close by CPU, and executing the first step charging procedure, simultaneously beginning accumulating charging time; (11) detecting and judging when battery voltage is larger than or equal to above set voltage preset value S, executing the second charging step procedure by CPU, and beginning accumulating charging time of the second step from zero; (12) in the second step charging procedure, when battery voltage is less than above voltage preset value S, beginning accumulating one buffering time; (13) comparing above buffering time and above set time value N, and when buffering time is larger than set time value N, canceling the second step charging procedure and its accumulated time and recovering to the first step charging procedure; (14) adding accumulated charging time of the first step to accumulated charging time of the second step to get one total charging time; (15) when in charge the accumulated re-charged AH value is larger than above set rechargeable AH max. value, stopping the first or the second step charging procedure; (16) when total charging time is larger than above set accumulated the longest charging time, stopping the first or the second step charging procedure; (17) when accumulated charging time in the second step charging procedure is later than preset D value, indicating that charge is over.
