Abstract

A process of fire detection and handling for enclosed apparatus divided with inlet and outlet such as continuous heat treatment furnace for metal belts, which comprises installing divided inlet and outlet used by the continuous heat treatment furnace for metal belts which uses explosive or fire dangerous combustible gas (10), clamping metal belt (1), enclosed element (5) for enclosing the combustible gas (10) and enclosed metal element (8) which pushes the enclosed element (5), and enclosed apparatus (4) of sealing mechanism (6) which is located further inside of the enclosed element (5) and closes the combustible gas (10) during emergency; which is characterized in: comprehensively installing differential distribution type detectors (9) on surrounding of the enclosed element (5) in which the detector (9) is located at the heated part (9a) of the metal pipe (9b) filled with air; when the leaked gas near the enclosed element (5) of the enclosed apparatus (4) catches fire, the differential distribution type detector (9) detects the rapid temperature increase at the heated part (9a) and sends out signal to stop movement of the metal belt (1) and activates the sealing mechanism (6) to cut off the enclosed apparatus (4) from inside the furnace followed by injecting nitrogen (12) into the enclosed apparatus (4).
