Abstract
A preparation process for tertiary amine, which comprises passing a mixture containing C2-C8 aliphatic primary amine and C1-C4 alcohol at molar ratio of 1:1 to 1:20, at pressure of 1-20 kg/cm2 and temperature of 100 to 500 deg.C, LHSV of 0.01 to 5 hr-1, through a catalyst fixed bed reactor to undergo alkylation; which is characterized in that the catalyst is a zeolitic catalyst with silicon to aluminum ratio of 3 to 25 and cation exchanged in which the cation is hydrogen, alkaline metal or rare earth element.
