Abstract

A scan display device consists of device body on which there exists light-emitting unit array in which multiple light-emitting units area aligned to a line for scanning a space plane and displaying wanted image by image retention effect. The light-emitting unit is selectively lit based on image data stored in a memory, and in synchrony with the device body movement. The device includes at least one light receiving component installed inside the device body. The light receiving component is installed so that the position relationship with respect to the light-emitting unit array can make one image medium for sampling image installed on position where is opposite and next to the light-emitting unit array. When the light-emitting unit of the light-emitting array is selectively lit, the reflective light reflected from the image medium will be received by light receiving component for sampling image on the image medium. When one image medium is put on the position where is opposite and next to the light-emitting unit array, each light-emitting unit will be lit in sequence, and locally light the image medium in order to read out output signal of the light receiving unit to sample image data of a line-shape partial image. By moving the image medium with respect to the light-emitting array to conduct image data sampling of other line-shape partial image, a two-dimensional image data can be constructed.
