Separation, Recovery Or Treatment Of Waste Materials Containing Plastics
(AREA)
Abstract
A process for producing non-polluting substitute of polystyrene foam, whichcomprises: (a) using waste of long-stemmed fibrous plant as the main raw material to be collected and thoroughly smashed; (b) preparing natural material with viscous property and grinding the material into powder in which harder was added in a ratio of one in one thousand, and thoroughly agitating the mixture to form a viscous hardener; (c) mixing the smashed raw material from (a) with the viscous hardener to form basic material, after a few minutes of mixing feeding the mixture into an extruder; (d) heating the basic material in the extruder to about 80~120 deg.C and extruding the basic material to the formation mold; (e) pressing the basic material in the mold for about 30 seconds to 1 minute to obtain solidified product and use it as the substitute product for polystyrene foam.
