Abstract

A precast concrete pile utilized for constructing an underground continuous wall comprises a concrete-made rectangular hollow body having opposed end faces and opposed side faces. A thickness of the concrete pile is defined between the opposed end faces. One of the opposed side faces is formed in its substantially the entire area with a round concave. The other side face is formed on its substantially the entire area with a round convex. The convex is engaged into the concave of an adjacent concrete pile when embedding the concrete piles continuously in the ground. The concrete pile also comprises at least one cavity formed therein and metal-made reinforcements filled into spaces between the cavity and each of the opposed end faces. In particular, it is preferred that the convex has a radius of curvature which is a half or less of the thickness of the concrete pile and which is substantially equal to that of the concave, and also the concave has a central angle less than that of the convex such that one of adjacent concrete piles can pivot within a limited angle relative to the other concrete pile while keeping the engagement between the convex and concave.
