An digital electrical spacing measurement equipment for measuring thedistance between one observer and target, includes: 1. optical system consisting of one telescope, one horizontal lens and oneindex lens; 2. position adjusting mechanism for leading the rotation of index lens; 3. optical position encoder for getting the moving angular signal of indexlens accurately; 4. mechanical position decoder for receiving the angular signal measured bythe optical position encoder and transforming it into real angle data; 5. central processing unit for executing the control and operations; 6. height setting key for inputting the height of target into the centralprocessing unit; 7. peripheral control circuit for receiving the commands from the CPU tocontrol the mechanical position decoder; in which the CPU receives the target height input by the height setting keyand angle data input from the mechanical position decode to calculate thedistance between the observer and target.
