Abstract

A reactive energy apparatus reacts with the stimulus of outside forces to provide cushioning, ankle support and stability, and a custom fit to a shoe. The reactive energy apparatus is comprised of anatomically shaped fluid filled bladders or pads that are furnished at the upper portion of a shoe and at the sole of the shoe. The bladders engage and assume a complementary custom fitting configuration around the foot and ankle of a shoe wearer by displacement of fluid contained in the bladders and thereby provide cushioning, ankle support and stability, and a custom fit to the foot.
