Abstract

A system for parking management without on-site equipment is provided. The system includes: a management server, which registers a plurality of accounts and issues a notice about at least one unused space of a parking lot; and a plurality of mobile communication devices. Each mobile communication device is connected to the management server through a network, uses one of the accounts to receive a notification from the management server that at least one parking space of the parking lot is unused, obtains geographic location coordinates of the location, notifies the management server of the parking location and time of the bound vehicle corresponding to a registered license plate number, and when one of the at least one parking space has been parked for a vehicle, the illegal parking license number of a parked vehicle, a report text content describing the illegal parking situation, the geographic location coordinates and a reporting time for reporting illegal parking are sent to the management server.

Description

Parking management method and system without on-site equipment

The present invention relates to a parking management method and system, and in particular to a parking management method and system without on-site equipment.

With the increase in the number of private transportation, people's freedom of travel has also increased, but the accompanying problem is parking. In areas with good parking planning, such as shopping malls, amusement parks, industrial parks, etc., any visitor can find a parking space in a short time and pay the parking fee is also convenient; the software and hardware of parking management are changing with each passing day, developing towards a more convenient direction that meets the needs of users.

The parking lot management in the aforementioned areas is generally divided into two methods: manual billing and hardware control. As for the parking management method of manual billing, once a vehicle is parked in a parking space in the parking lot, the billing personnel will record the bill in advance; every certain period of time, such as half an hour, the billing personnel will return to the parking space and add the parking time for the parked vehicle until the vehicle leaves. Parking fees are accumulated according to the time and unit price recorded in the billing, and can be paid at the designated location. The advantage of this approach is that it saves the cost of setting up the parking lot hardware, but the operation and management costs of the billing personnel cannot be avoided. On the contrary, the parking management method of hardware control eliminates the need for "people" to interact with vehicles in the parking lot, and uses hardware such as parking barriers, optical character recognition devices, and payment machines for on-site management. Car owners can rely on the parking management system to inform the parking fee without receiving a parking ticket, and leave the parking lot after payment is completed. In terms of usability, car owners and managers prefer it the most, but the hardware cost investment is not small, and an adaptive power system is required.

The parking management system with hardware control is accepted by most parking lots. After all, the investment can be used for decades. There is also a market for parking lots with manual ticketing, such as the use of parking spaces on both sides of public roads. However, for some areas with short-term parking needs or under development, such as opening up construction sites to nearby residents for parking before construction begins, and temporary parking on small private lands, it is not cost-effective to use manual ticketing or hardware control for parking management, let alone effective collection of parking fees. In order to meet these embarrassing needs, the present invention is proposed to move towards the goal of unmanned on-site parking management without equipment placement and reduce operating costs.

This paragraph extracts and compiles certain features of the invention. Other features will be disclosed in the following paragraphs. Its purpose is to cover various modifications and similar arrangements within the spirit and scope of the attached patent application.

In order to achieve the above objectives, the present invention discloses a parking management method without on-site equipment, comprising: registering a plurality of accounts with a management server, each account being bound to a registered license plate number and a communication authentication data; receiving a notification from the management server about at least one parking space in a parking lot being unused on a first mobile communication device using one of the accounts; when a vehicle is parked in the at least one parking space, sending a parking license plate number of the parked vehicle, a report text content indicating the parking violation, a geographical coordinate of the first mobile communication device, and a reporting time of the parking violation to the management server through the bank. The management server determines whether the geographic location coordinates are located within a reportable area including the parking lot; if the previous determination result is yes, the management server further determines whether the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers; and if the management server determines that the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server uses the communication authentication data simultaneously bound to the illegal license plate number to send a parking fee to a second mobile communication device using a corresponding account, and sends a first reporting reward notice to the first mobile communication device.

The present invention also discloses another parking management method without on-site equipment, comprising: registering a plurality of accounts with a management server, each account being bound to a registered license plate number and a communication authentication data; receiving a notification from the management server about at least one parking space in a parking lot being parked by a vehicle and the license plate number of the parked vehicle on a first mobile communication device using one of the accounts; when a vehicle is parked in the at least one parking space but the license plate number of the vehicle does not match the content of the notification, sending a parked vehicle's illegal license plate number, a report text content describing the illegal parking condition, a geographical location coordinate of the first mobile communication device, and an action of reporting the illegal parking condition to the management server; The management server determines whether the geographic location coordinates are located within a reportable area including the parking lot; if the previous determination result is yes, the management server further determines whether the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers; and if the management server determines that the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server uses the communication authentication data simultaneously bound to the illegal license plate number to send a data error notification to a third mobile communication device using a corresponding account, and sends a second reporting reward notification to the first mobile communication device.

Preferably, the communication authentication information can be a mobile phone number, an email address or a social platform account.

Preferably, the first mobile communication device can further send a report photo including the license plate of the parked vehicle, together with the illegal license plate number, the reporting text content, the geographic location coordinates and the reporting time to the management server.

The parking management method without on-site equipment may further include: if the management server determines that the illegal parking license plate number does not belong to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server retains the reported photo as evidence for claiming compensation from the owner of the parked vehicle, and sends a third reporting reward notice to the first mobile communication device.

The present invention discloses a parking management system without on-site equipment, comprising: a management server, registering a plurality of accounts and issuing a notification about at least one unused parking space in a parking lot, each account being bound to a registered license plate number and a communication authentication data; and a plurality of mobile communication devices, each mobile communication device being connected to the management server via a network, using one of the accounts to receive a notification about the parking lot from the management server. The system includes a method for notifying that at least one parking space is unused, obtaining a geographical coordinate of the location, notifying the management server of the parking location and time of the vehicle corresponding to the registered license plate number, and when a vehicle is parked in the at least one parking space, sending a illegal license plate number of the parked vehicle, a reporting text content describing the illegal parking status, the geographical coordinates and a reporting time of the illegal parking to the management server. The present invention also discloses another parking management system without on-site equipment, comprising: a management server, registering a plurality of accounts and issuing a notification about at least one parking space in a parking lot being occupied by a vehicle and the license plate number of the parked vehicle, each account being bound to a registered license plate number and a communication authentication data; and a plurality of mobile communication devices, each mobile communication device being connected to the management server via a network and using one of the accounts to receive a notification from the management server about at least one parking space in the parking lot being occupied by a vehicle. The system includes a method for notifying the parking of a vehicle and the license plate number of the parked vehicle, obtaining a geographic location coordinate of the location, notifying the management server of the parking location and time of the vehicle corresponding to the registered license plate number, and when at least one of the parking spaces is occupied by a vehicle but the license plate number of the vehicle does not match the content of the notification, sending a parked vehicle's illegal license plate number, a reporting text content describing the illegal parking situation, the geographic location coordinates, and a reporting time of the illegal parking to the management server. The management server determines whether the geographic location coordinates are located within a reportable area including the parking lot; if the previous determination result is yes, the management server further determines whether the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers; if the management server determines that the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server uses the communication authentication data simultaneously bound to the illegal license plate number to send a data error notification to a third mobile communication device using a corresponding account, and sends a second reporting reward notification to a first mobile communication device that sends the illegal license plate number, the reporting text content, the geographic location coordinates and the reporting time.

Preferably, the communication authentication information can be a mobile phone number, an email address or a social platform account.

Preferably, the first mobile communication device can further send a report photo including the license plate of the parked vehicle, together with the illegal license plate number, the reporting text content, the geographic location coordinates and the reporting time to the management server.

If the management server determines that the illegal license plate number does not belong to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server retains the reported photo as evidence for claiming compensation from the owner of the parked vehicle, and sends a third reporting reward notice to the first mobile communication device.

By having other members in the system take the initiative to report illegal parking vehicles in the parking lot, the parking lot management can save the cost of hardware equipment and manual ticketing. The reporting members can get some rewards through this system. These rewards come from the owners of the illegally parked vehicles, so that the system can operate in a positive direction.

In order to make the description of the disclosed content more detailed and complete, the following provides an illustrative description of the implementation mode and specific embodiments of the present invention.

Please see FIG. 1, which shows the architecture of the parking management system without on-site equipment (hereinafter referred to as the system) according to the present invention. The system includes a management server 10 and a plurality of mobile communication devices (in this embodiment, three mobile communication devices are used as an example, namely a first mobile communication device 310, a second mobile communication device 320 and a third mobile communication device 330. In practice, the number of mobile communication devices is not limited to three, and can be more). The types and functions of these technical components, the operation of the system and a parking management method without on-site equipment derived therefrom will be described in detail below.

The management server 10 is the core component for operating the present system. The management server 10 can register multiple accounts and issue a notification that at least one parking space in a parking lot is unused. Each account is bound to a registered license plate number and a communication authentication data. Since the operation of this system is valuable, it will be a platform that restricts the use of members. Therefore, the account (which can also be used in conjunction with the input of a password) is used to manage the member's data. The purpose of each member joining is to use the parking space in the parking lot managed by this system, and the account is used with the member through a mobile communication device. Therefore, the account needs to be bound to the registered license plate number to ensure that the vehicle used by the member can park. On the other hand, in order for the management server 10 to effectively communicate with the mobile communication device, it must go through different communication platforms, and the communication authentication data is the data using these communication platforms. In practice, the communication authentication data can be a mobile phone number, using a mobile communication network for communication; the communication authentication data can also be an email address, using emails for communication; the communication authentication data can also be a social platform account, forming a closed community (such as through LINE@) through the open API of the social platform for communication. The aforementioned functions are executed in conjunction with the hardware of the management server 10.

The following describes the composition of the management server 10. The management server 10 includes a network communication interface 110, a management unit 210, a database unit 220, a parking management unit 230, a data determination unit 240, and an information notification unit 250. The hardware architecture of the management server 10 of the present system is not much different from the general server architecture, and may include a central processing unit, a memory, a storage device (such as a hard disk), an input/output unit, etc. Although these hardware are not shown in FIG. 1, they are the architectures that technical personnel in the server field should understand. In addition, one of the important hardware in the management server 10 is the network communication interface 110, which is the assembly of important software and firmware (sometimes also includes program software running in the operating system) that connects the management server 10 and the mobile communication device through the network 1 (which can be, but is not limited to, a mobile communication network and a fixed network), and can include hardware such as a network card, a connection cable, and a wireless communication module. The following introduction to the various units of the present invention is the technical requirements of the system that utilizes or cooperates with the above-mentioned existing management server 10 equipment and runs. Therefore, they can be software, containing specific program codes and data, and running in at least part of the hardware architecture under the operating system (for example, the program code and related data files are stored in the storage device, temporarily stored in the memory under the operation of the operating system, and dynamically called and executed by the central processor). On the other hand, these units can also be special hardware, such as special application integrated circuits (ASIC) or external cards, to perform the functions assigned to these units. What's more, these technical requirements can be partly software and partly hardware, and effectively integrated according to the needs of product designers.

The management unit 210 is a technical component for managing the operation of the management server 10, and manages tasks such as power supply and data transmission. The database unit 220 is a unit for systematically storing data of the operation of the system. Since the system uses the operation of registering an account to confirm the location of the mobile communication device using the account, and thus performs parking management (such as when the vehicle corresponding to the account is parked, at which parking lot, and whether the parking fee has been paid, etc.), these data need to be recorded. The database unit 220 is preferably a relational database. The parking management unit 230 is a unit for performing the aforementioned parking management, and in particular, can register an account with a mobile communication device through the network 1, confirm where the vehicle corresponding to the account is parked and the parking space usage status of the parking lot, and connect with the payment management server (such as the bank's payment server, third-party payment server, etc.) to confirm the payment status of the parking fee. The data judgment unit 240 is a technical component for judging the illegal parking status, which is explained below in conjunction with the operation of this system. The information notification unit 250 is a technical component that sends the corresponding notification, such as a notification that at least one parking space in a parking lot is not used, to the relevant mobile communication device after the data judgment unit 240 confirms it. The notifications sent are also recorded in the relevant accounts in the database unit 220. The contents of different notifications will be described below.

The mobile communication device of the present invention can be a specially made electronic product, or it can be a smart phone or tablet computer running an auxiliary APP installed. Each mobile communication device is connected to the management server 10 via the network 1 to perform the following operations. First, the mobile communication device can use one of the accounts to receive a notification from the management server 10 that at least one parking space in the parking lot is unused. For an explanation of the type and interface of this notification, please refer to Figures 2 and 3. Figure 2 shows a bird's-eye view of a parking lot using the present system, and Figure 3 shows the information displayed on the touch screen 310a of the first mobile communication device 310. The parking lot using the present system is not limited to a square layout and can be of any size. In Figure 2, the perimeter of the parking lot is marked with a solid line, with an opening at the top facing the road. The parking lot is limited by natural objects (such as a tree T) and the boundaries of neighboring properties, and its shape has several inward concave areas. In terms of management, the parking lot has 10 parking spaces numbered P-01 to P-10 due to the terrain. At this moment, the car owner D (one of the members of this system) who uses the first mobile communication device 310 sees that the parking spaces P-02 and P-07 are parked. At the same time, the car owner D also sees from the touch screen 310a display of the first mobile communication device 310 that the car with the license plate number BEN-5566 is parked at P-07. All the information displayed on the touch screen 310a is a notification that at least one parking space in the parking lot is unused. Since there is a car parked at P-02, the car may be parked by mistake, the parking registration is not valid, or the non-member intentionally does not pay the parking fee to use the parking space. In the absence of an administrator to manage the parking, the car owner D can use this system to send a "raise and earn bonus" notification to the management server 10 of this system, so that the administrator can make subsequent claims against the owner of the parking space P-02 and earn profits from this action. The operation of the raise will be explained in detail later.

In addition, the first mobile communication device 310 can obtain a geographical location coordinate of the location. In practice, the geographical location coordinate can be a Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinate. The function of the geographical location coordinate is to determine the location of the car owner D at the time of the report to avoid possible malicious reports from the car owner D. If the car owner D wants to park, the first mobile communication device 310 needs to notify the management server 10 of the parking location and time of the vehicle corresponding to the registered license plate number bound to the car owner D's account. After receiving the parking confirmation submitted by the car owner D, the management unit 210 will start charging according to the current parking location (geographic location coordinates) and time of the vehicle. At the same time, the parking management unit 230 sends a notification that at least one parking space in the parking lot is unused to the second mobile communication device 320 and the third mobile communication device 330 used by other members of the system. In order to make a report, when a parking space is occupied by a vehicle, the first mobile communication device 310 can send a parking license plate number of the parked vehicle, a report text describing the parking violation, the geographic location coordinates, and a report time of the parking violation to the management server 10. The reporting method is very simple. In this embodiment, in the information displayed on the touch screen 310a, click the "Report" text box on the right side of P-02, and the touch screen 310a display screen will be converted to the interface of FIG. 4 when starting the report. In order to avoid "false reports", the reporter must fill in his name. The phone number can be automatically brought out from the first mobile communication device 310 (a smart phone in this embodiment), and the email needs to be filled out by the car owner D, which can be an option. The reporting time in the report content can be automatically brought out from the first mobile communication device 310, and the car owner D can also modify it as the basis for the reporting time. In Figure 4, the illegal license plate number is 6543-KL, which is filled out by the car owner D. The report text content is also entered by the car owner D, briefly describing the illegal parking situation. Although the geographic location coordinates do not appear in the interface of Figure 4, they can be sent out by the first mobile communication device 310 along with other data. If necessary, the first mobile communication device 310 can also send a group of photos (taken by the camera module of the smart phone) containing the license plate of the parked vehicle, together with the number of the illegal license plate, the report text content, the geographic location coordinates and the report time to the management server 10. To send the above data, just click "Report/Complaint" on the touch screen 310a.

When the management server 10 receives the data from the first mobile communication device 310, it will perform a series of judgment operations. First, the data judgment unit 240 of the management server 10 judges whether the geographic location coordinates are located in a triggerable area including the parking lot. In order to confirm that the car owner D is triggering in the parking lot and avoid malicious triggering, the geographic location coordinates must be confirmed to fall within the parking lot. Please refer to Figure 2 again. Since the parking lot is not necessarily a square area, the triggerable area is an approximate shape along the perimeter of the parking lot, which is indicated by a dotted line frame to facilitate the judgment operation of the data judgment unit 240. Of course, the triggerable area can also completely fit the perimeter of the parking lot. If the previous judgment result is no, the current action is invalid; if the previous judgment result is yes, it means that the car owner D is indeed in the parking lot, and the data judgment unit 240 of the management server 10 further judges whether the illegal parking license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers. This judgment operation is to confirm whether the car in the P-02 parking space belongs to a member of this system. If yes, the member may not have effectively registered for parking, which will cause the parking fee to be missed and needs to be paid. Therefore, if the management server 10 determines that the illegal parking plate number belongs to one of the registered plate numbers, the management server 10 uses the communication authentication data (telephone number or email) bound to the illegal parking plate number; the information notification unit 250 sends a parking fee to the second mobile communication device 320 using the corresponding account, and sends a first reporting reward notice to the first mobile communication device 310 that sent the aforementioned illegal parking plate number, reporting text content, geographic location coordinates and reporting time. The parking fee includes the content of the reporting data sent by the first mobile communication device 310, and also includes the payment method (such as a two-dimensional barcode for payment at a convenience store). The first report reward notification is to inform the car owner of the reward he can get for the report. The reward type is not limited, such as free parking hours, discount coupons from online stores, or even valuable digital securities that can be withdrawn in cash at a specific bank.

On the contrary, if the data determination unit 240 of the management server 10 determines that the illegal parking license plate number does not belong to one of the registered license plate numbers, the vehicle may be parked maliciously, and the management server 10 can retain the aforementioned report photo as evidence for claiming compensation from the owner of the parked vehicle, and send a third report reward notice to the first mobile communication device 310. The content of the third report reward notice is similar to that of the first report reward notice, but the reward value is different.

In the previous embodiment, the system can motivate members of the system by "earning bonuses for reporting" to effectively manage other members who park improperly. However, the owner of the improperly parked car may not be a member of the system. To this end, the next embodiment will disclose a technical solution.

Based on the aforementioned technical elements of the present invention, the information notification unit 250 of the management server 10 issues a notification about at least one parking space in a parking lot being parked by a vehicle and the license plate number of the parked vehicle. As shown in FIG3 , the parking space P-07 displays the license plate number BEN-5566. If the car owner D finds out at this time that the license plate number of the car parked in the parking space P-07 is not BEN-5566, but a car in the current monthly rental list (the license plate numbers of all cars that can be parked in this parking lot), it means that the owner of the car has registered more than two cars, but selected the wrong car to register when parking. This action may affect the operation of the parking lot, so it is necessary to remind the car owner to modify the parking record. Therefore, after the first mobile communication device 310 receives a notification from the management server 10 regarding at least one parking space in the parking lot being parked by a vehicle and the license plate number of the parked vehicle, when at least one of the parking spaces is already parked by a vehicle but the license plate number of the vehicle does not match the content of the notification, an illegal license plate number of the parked vehicle, a reporting text content describing the illegal parking situation, the geographic location coordinates, and a reporting time of the illegal parking are sent to the management server 10. The touch screen 310a of the first mobile communication device 310 of the car owner D displays the same interface as the previous embodiment, but the "Report" text box clicked this time is the one to the right of P-07. When entering the report/complaint interface, the vehicle number becomes 1287-QE, and the input report content also becomes "The car with number 1287-QE is parked in the parking space P-07, but the system displays BEN-5566".

When the management server 10 receives the above data from the first mobile communication device 310, it will perform a series of judgment operations. First, the data judgment unit 240 of the management server 10 still judges whether the geographic location coordinates are located in the triggerable area including the parking lot. Then, if the previous judgment result is no, the current trigger is not established; if the previous judgment result is yes, the data judgment unit 240 of the management server 10 further judges whether the illegal parking license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers. As mentioned above, this step judges whether the owner of the illegal parking license plate number is a member of this system. If the data determination unit 240 of the management server 10 determines that the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server 10 uses the communication authentication data bound to the illegal license plate number to allow the information notification unit 250 to send a data error notification to the third mobile communication device 330 (the mobile communication device used by the owner of the illegal license plate number) using the corresponding account, and send a second reporting reward notification to the first mobile communication device 310 that sent the illegal license plate number, reporting text content, geographic location coordinates and reporting time. Because the owner of the license plate number 1287-QE may have just made an error in operation on the third mobile communication device 330, he only needs to be reminded to correct it. The second report reward notice is the same as the first report reward notice, which is used to reward the car owner D. However, this does not involve a reduction in parking fees, and the reward value in the second report reward notice will be lower than the reward value in the first report reward notice.

Similar to the previous embodiment, if the data determination unit 240 of the management server 10 determines that the illegal license plate number does not belong to one of the registered license plate numbers, the vehicle may be parked maliciously. The management server 10 can retain the aforementioned reported photo as evidence for claiming compensation from the owner of the parked vehicle, and send a third reporting reward notice to the first mobile communication device 310.

Based on the above description of the parking management system without on-site equipment of the present invention, the present invention also discloses a parking management method without on-site equipment (hereinafter referred to as the method). The method comprises the following steps: Step 1: register multiple accounts with a management server, each account is bound to a registered license plate number and a communication authentication data. The communication authentication data can be one of a mobile phone number, an email address or a social platform account. Step 2: receive a notification from the management server that at least one parking space in a parking lot is unused on a first mobile communication device using one of the accounts. Then, in the third step: when a vehicle is parked in one of the at least one parking spaces, a parking license plate number of the parked vehicle, a report text describing the parking violation, a geographic location coordinate of the first mobile communication device, and a reporting time of the parking violation are sent to the management server via the first mobile communication device. In the fourth step: the management server determines whether the geographic location coordinate is located in a reporting area including the parking lot. In the fifth step: if the previous determination result is yes, the management server further determines whether the parking license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers. The last step: if the management server determines that the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server uses the communication authentication data bound to the illegal license plate number to send a parking fee to a second mobile communication device using a corresponding account, and sends a first reporting reward notice to the first mobile communication device.

Corresponding to another embodiment, the method may include other different steps. The first step: register multiple accounts with a management server, each account is bound to a registered license plate number and a communication authentication data. The second step: receive a notification from the management server about at least one parking space in a parking lot being parked by a vehicle and the license plate number of the parked vehicle on a first mobile communication device using one of the accounts. Step 3: When a vehicle is parked in one of the at least one parking spaces but the license plate number of the vehicle does not match the content of the notification, a parking license plate number of the parked vehicle, a report text content describing the parking violation, a geographic location coordinate of the first mobile communication device, and a reporting time of the parking violation are sent to the management server via the first mobile communication device. Step 4: The management server determines whether the geographic location coordinate is located in a reporting area including the parking lot. Step 5: If the previous determination result is yes, the management server further determines whether the parking license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers. Step 6: If the management server determines that the illegal license plate number belongs to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server uses the communication authentication data bound to the illegal license plate number to send a data error notification to a third mobile communication device using a corresponding account, and sends a second reporting reward notification to the first mobile communication device.

The first mobile communication device may further send a report photo including the parked vehicle license plate, together with the illegal license plate number, the report text content, the geographic location coordinates and the report time to the management server. The method may further include: if the management server determines that the illegal license plate number does not belong to one of the registered license plate numbers, the management server retains the report photo as evidence for claiming compensation from the owner of the parked vehicle, and sends a third report reward notice to the first mobile communication device.

Although the present invention has been disclosed in the above embodiments, it is not intended to limit the present invention. Anyone with ordinary knowledge in the relevant technical field may make some changes and modifications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Therefore, the protection scope of the present invention shall be defined by the scope of the attached patent application.
