Abstract

An operating device includes a base member, a movable member and a first operating member. The base member is configured to be coupled to a human-powered vehicle. The movable member is movably mounted with respect to the base member. The movable member includes a positioning ratchet and a cable takeup member. The first operating member is pivotally coupled to the base member to pivot about a first pivot axis to move the movable member, and is pivotally coupled to the base member about a second pivot axis different from the first pivot axis in a state where the movable member remains stationary. The bottom plate 20 is removably coupled to the main body 16 to access the internal space of the main body 16. Herein, the base component 14 further includes a cable guide component 21. The cable guide member 21 is disposed in the inner cavity of the main body 16 and is used to guide the inner wire of the control cable C1 into the inner cavity of the main body 16 .
