如圖4所示,搬送台車25藉由設置於地上側的地上側控制器22(「台車控制部」的一例)與設置於搬送台車25的車體側控制器26控制行駛等動作。
地上側控制器22連接於總體控制器21。地上側控制器22依照來自總體控制器21的指示控制搬送台車25的行駛,進行盒90的搬送指示。地上側控制器22藉由利用光傳輸於與車體側控制器26之間進行訊號的交接,而進行搬送台車25的行駛控制及盒90的搬送指示。
車體側控制器26搭載於搬送台車25。車體側控制器26依照來自地上側控制器22的指示使搬送台車25行駛,而進行盒90的搬送。

如圖5所示,地上側控制器22對於第三收貨台14是否載置有盒90進行判斷(S1)。具體而言,地上側控制器22對有無來自第三存貨感測器19的訊號進行檢測。地上側控制器22若判斷於第三收貨台14載置有盒90(S1-是),則繼而對於第四收貨台15是否載置有盒90進行判斷(S2)。具體而言,地上側控制器22對有無來自第四存貨感測器20的訊號進行檢測。地上側控制器22若判斷於第四收貨台15載置有盒90(S2-是),則對車體側控制器26指示減速行駛,使搬送台車25以低速模式行駛(S3)。即,於在第三收貨台14及第四收貨台15載置有盒90的情形時,地上側控制器22使搬送台車25相較於通常速度而減速行駛。
另一方面,地上側控制器22若判斷於第三收貨台14未載置有盒90(S1-否)或判斷於第四收貨台15未載置有盒90(S2-否),則對車體側控制器26指示行駛,使搬送台車25以通常速度行駛(S4)。
搬送台車25到達第二收貨台13後,地上側控制器22對車體側控制器26進行朝向第二收貨台13的盒90的搬送指示(S5)。
如上所述,地上側控制器22根據相對於搬送台車25的行駛方向而位於較第二收貨台13更靠下游側的第三收貨台14及第四收貨台15的存貨狀況控制針對朝向預定暫置盒90的第二收貨台13而向盒90的搬送路徑的下游側方向行駛的搬送台車25的搬送指示及行駛速度。
